We believe in God. We believe His Word is true. But when His truth confronts the sin we don’t want to surrender, we start making excuses: “It’s not that bad. Everyone does it. God understands.”
In 1 Corinthians 5:1–8, Paul confronts a church that had become comfortable with what God called sin. Instead of repentance, there was tolerance. Instead of transformation, there was compromise.
Grace was never meant to give us permission to remain unchanged. Jesus didn’t save us so we could make peace with our sin—He came to set us free from it.
The question isn’t whether God will forgive what we surrender. The question is: What are we still refusing to surrender?
October is Pastor Appreciation Month—a special opportunity to say Thank You to those who faithfully serve, lead, encourage, and care for our church family.
We are incredibly grateful for Pastor Bob, Pastor Elissa, and Kaitlynn, our Student Ministries Director. Their dedication, prayer, leadership, and love for people make a difference in our church and community every day.
Throughout October, take a moment to encourage them, pray for them, send a note, or simply say “Thank You” for the many ways they serve. Let’s make sure they know how much they are appreciated!
We would be delighted if you could join us in person for our Sunday morning worship service! It starts at 10 am every Sunday, and there are multiple Sunday School options available before the worship service. Children’s Church is also available during the worship service.
