We’re joined by James Young of Dragonfly Decorating for a proper deep dive into his journey — from early life and taking a longer road into the trade, to the fallout that nearly derailed everything and the eventual reconciliation that helped shape who he is today.

James opens up about the story behind Dragonfly Decorating, what the name really means, and takes us through the good, the bad, and the properly ugly jobs that come with running a decorating business. We also get into the much-loved Brush Brothers bromance, how it started, and why having the right people around you matters in this trade.

The conversation takes a more serious turn as James speaks honestly about addiction and sobriety, the impact it’s had on his life and work, and offers genuine advice for anyone in the trade who might be struggling.
