    2026/10/16

“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” — James 4:8

Sometimes the distance we feel from God is not because He has moved. In seasons of distraction, weariness, or spiritual dryness, His invitation remains the same: Draw near.

God is not asking you to manufacture a feeling or force a moment. He is inviting you to come—to turn your attention toward Him, remain in His presence, and allow your roots to reach again toward the Source.

If you have felt distant, distracted, or simply hungry for more of God, take a few moments and listen.

    The invitation is still open.

    Draw near.

  • MED 006 - I Can Do All Things
    2026/10/09

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

But what did Paul actually mean?

Philippians 4:13 is more than a declaration about what we can accomplish. It is the testimony of a man who had learned how to remain steady in abundance and in need, in comfort and in hardship.

If you are walking through a season that is stretching you, changing you, or asking you to remain faithful when circumstances are not what you hoped they would be, take a few moments and listen.

You may discover that the strength Christ gives is not always strength to change the season—but strength to remain planted while He carries you through it.

  • MED 005 — Where Will We Plant Ourselves?
    2026/10/02

Sometimes staying planted begins with deciding where we will put our roots.

In Ruth 1, Ruth makes a decision before she knows what that decision will produce. She cannot see Bethlehem, Boaz, provision, or the generations that will eventually come through her choice. She simply knows where she has chosen to remain.

In this meditation, we slow down with Ruth's decision and consider a question that reaches into our own walk with God:

    Where will we plant ourselves?

Before there is fruit, there is often a decision about the ground. Before we see what God will produce, we may first have to decide where our roots will remain.

Slow down. Open the Scriptures. Encounter the living Christ.

The Day of Pentecost is not just history. It is for today. 🔥

    2026/09/25

What does it mean to stay planted when everything around us keeps changing?

Joseph’s life was marked by movement—from his father’s house to the pit, from slavery to prison, and eventually to the palace. His circumstances changed again and again.

    But his Source did not.

Joseph kept being moved, but he never became uprooted.

In this meditation, we walk through Joseph’s story and consider what it means to remain rooted in God when our circumstances are beyond our control.

Sometimes, staying planted does not mean our location never changes. It means that wherever life takes us, our roots remain in the same Source.

The pit did not uproot him.
The prison did not uproot him.
And the palace did not have to corrupt what the pit had cultivated.

Perhaps the greatest evidence of Joseph’s prosperity was not simply where he eventually arrived—but who he had become when he got there.

Slow down. Open the Scriptures. Encounter the living Christ.

The Day of Pentecost is not just history. It is for today. 🔥

  • MED 003 — The Well and the Living Water
    2026/09/18

What happens when we keep returning to wells that were never meant to satisfy our deepest thirst?

In John 4, Jesus meets a Samaritan woman beside Jacob’s well. She came carrying a vessel for water, but before their conversation was finished, Jesus revealed a deeper thirst—and offered living water.

In this meditation, we slow down with John 4:7–14 and consider the wells we return to, the buckets we carry, and the difference between receiving good gifts and asking finite things to satisfy an eternal thirst.

Some buckets aren’t sinful. They’re simply too small.

Maybe the question for us today is not simply, What are we drinking?

    Maybe it is:

    Where are we drinking?

Slow down. Open the Scriptures. Encounter the living Christ.

The Day of Pentecost is not just history. It is for today. 🔥

    2026/09/11

What does it mean to stay planted when the season changes?

Psalm 1 gives us the picture of a tree planted by rivers of water—rooted, nourished, and fruitful in its season. But before there are branches, before there are leaves, and before there is fruit… there are roots.

In this meditation, we slow down and consider what it means to remain rooted in God, to keep drawing from the right Source, and to trust Him even in seasons when growth isn't immediately visible.

    Scripture: Psalm 1:1–3

Stay planted. Keep drinking. Keep growing. And trust God with the season.

  • MED 001 — The Invitation
    2026/08/15

What does it truly mean to know God?

In this first meditation of The Day of Pentecost for Today, we begin with the words of Jesus in John 17:3 and reflect on His invitation into something deeper than simply knowing about Him.

Slow down. Open the Scriptures. Make room to listen—and encounter the living Christ through His Word.
