Sarah and Marcus walk through the Workbook for Students of A Course in Miracles, one lesson a day for a full year. Each episode reads the day's lesson and unpacks how to actually live it — turning dense spiritual teaching into a daily practice of undoing the ego, releasing judgment, and remembering peace.Copyright 2026 The Daily Lesson: 365 Days in A Course in Miracles

  • Lesson 10: My Thoughts Do Not Mean Anything
    2026/07/28
Marcus opens with a complaint: he checked his notes, and today looks like Lesson 4 with a new coat of paint. Then the lesson answers him in its second paragraph — the Course knows it's repeating itself, and says so out loud. What follows is the first real widening of the year: not "these thoughts are meaningless," but "the thoughts you think you think aren't yours at all." • Lesson 9: I See Nothing As It Is Now
    2026/07/27
Lesson 9 tells you, in writing, that you don't have to understand it — and for Marcus, an engineer who has spent his whole life earning the right to an opinion, that's the hardest sentence the Workbook has produced so far. He remembers an older technician who refused to explain a procedure for six months. Sarah admits the lesson is easy for her in a way she isn't sure she's earned. Today's practice is three or four periods, eyes open, excluding nothing.

  • Lesson 8: My Mind Is Preoccupied With Past Thoughts
    2026/07/26
Having spent a week discovering that we see only the past, Sarah and Marcus turn inward to the root of it — a mind so occupied with old thoughts that, as the lesson puts it, it isn't really thinking at all. Marcus admits to eleven minutes of rehearsing an argument he never got to have, Sarah brings something of her own about a paperweight on her desk, and today's practice turns out to have a line in it that quietly gives you permission to be annoyed by the exercise itself.
