  • What It Really Takes to Build a Healthy Marriage
    2026/09/22

In this episode, I sit down with a couple who has been married for 29 years to talk honestly about what they’ve learned through nearly three decades of marriage. They share how they met, the challenges they’ve faced, and what they believe has helped them build a healthy marriage that continues to work through different seasons of life.

We talk about the hard truths of marriage, getting to know your spouse beyond who you thought they were, navigating challenges together, and the importance of keeping God at the center of both your marriage and your individual lives.

Marriage takes work, but they don’t believe that means it shouldn’t also be fun. After 29 years, two children, and two grandchildren, they share what has helped them continue to enjoy each other, grow together, and choose their marriage through the years.

Whether you’re married, preparing for marriage, or simply want healthier relationships, this conversation is an honest look at faith, love, commitment, and what it takes to build a marriage you actually enjoy.

  • When You’re Still Waiting on God
    2026/09/15

What does faith look like when you’re praying for something deeply personal and the answer hasn’t come yet?

In this episode, I sit down with Shana-Lee Scott, author of Mommy in Waiting: A 40-Day Devotional, for an honest conversation about her fertility journey, the emotions that come with waiting, and how her relationship with God has carried her through it.

Shana-Lee shares how her own experience of waiting to become a mother led her to write Mommy in Waiting and create something that could encourage other women navigating similar seasons. We talk about holding onto faith while facing disappointment, processing the emotions that come with an unanswered prayer, and learning to trust God even when His timing looks different from what you hoped for.

Although her story centers on fertility, this conversation speaks to anyone who has ever had to trust God while waiting for something they deeply desire.

If you’re in a season of waiting, this episode is a reminder that you can be honest about how hard the wait is while still holding onto your faith.

  • You Can Love Your Family and Still Choose Distance
    2026/09/08

What happens when protecting your peace means creating distance from the people you love?

In this episode, I sit down with Emani for an honest conversation about family trauma, broken relationships, boundaries, faith, and the ongoing process of healing.

Emani shares how a painful experience within her family brought years of unhealthy patterns to the surface and eventually led her to make the difficult decision to love some of her family from a distance. We talk about the loneliness that can come with choosing yourself when the people you love don't understand your decision, finding peace without reconciliation, and her desire to break unhealthy family patterns before starting a family of her own.

Through some of her darkest moments, Emani also shares how her relationship with God and the people He placed around her became an important part of her healing.

This is a conversation about accepting what you cannot change, creating boundaries without losing your capacity to love, trusting God through painful seasons, and choosing to heal even when the people who hurt you may never acknowledge the hurt.
