From there it's Burning Man (cult or art project?), Woodstock's surprisingly infrequent schedule, and the genuinely staggering 660 million attendance of India's Maha Kumbh Mela. Then Oktoberfest takes over completely, spiralling into a maths-based investigation of how many tanker lorries it takes to move 6.7 million litres of beer, a Guinness comparison nobody asked for, and a newfound respect for the women hauling ten steins at a time.

It all wraps with a true story from a recent flight, where a maths disagreement between Adam and Kyle was settled by a stranger in headphones who'd clearly been listening the whole time. Which raises an uncomfortable question for next week: airplane etiquette, and just how much your neighbours can hear.

Kyle finally drags Adam into rap music, and it kicks off with Adam performing a ChatGPT-written diss track live on the mic, immediately regretting every word.

From there they spiral through the genre's greats: Tupac, Biggie, NWA, Snoop Dogg's suspiciously modest net worth, and a running debate over where rap ends and hip-hop begins.

Naturally, it doesn't stay on topic. The guys argue over whether Kendrick counts as a rapper or a singer, whether punk deserves its own genre entirely, and pick apart a "100 greatest rock albums" list that somehow puts Elvis in the same category as Slipknot. Adam is unconvinced rap is for him, but agrees to let Kyle vet a few tracks for the Continuum playlist. Under strict "Adam approved" conditions.

It's chaotic, contradictory, and just musically opinionated enough to start an argument in your group chat. Next time, they head to the fields: festivals are up.

Adam and Kyle pick the decks back up this week, arguing over what actually makes someone a DJ. From Spotify's AI DJ and childhood loop software like Dance eJay to whether a laptop counts as an instrument, they can't agree on where sampling ends and real musicianship begins.

Cue a deep dive into dance and electronic royalty. Fatboy Slim, Daft Punk, DJ Shadow, Massive Attack, Portishead and The Prodigy all get put on trial, alongside a detour into Fred Durst's backwards cap and a surprisingly heated debate about whether bands peak on album one or two (System of a Down says otherwise). Naturally, neither Adam or Kyle can remember a single lyric correctly.

It's nostalgic, nitpicky, and just musically snobby enough to make you double-check your own playlist. And next time? The guys attempt the impossible: talking Adam into rap music.
