Matt Sorum is not your average everyday run of the mill rock star as well as an impressive array of achievements in music with Guns'+Roses Velvet Revolver and a substantial number of other projects , he is a man who likes to give back to society via various charitable endevours including the one perhaps closest to his heart "Adopt The Arts Foundation" which helps support under privilaged children and those in public/elementary schools that offer little in the way of arts and music .This year saw the inaugral Sound and Vision Awards and benefit concert which honoured the achievements of Geezer Butler and Paul Rodgers.An all star cast was put together including Paul Rodgers and Geezer Butler who were joined by Corey Taylor, Lizzy Hale, Matt himself, Glenn Hughes Nuno Bettencourt and many more.The album of the event is coming and the doc as well Matt joined us and we talked about the event, the charity and him contribution and what is going on in his life now as well.The Rock'n'Blues Experience with Tim CapleInterviews and features with musicians who have impacted the music industry over the last 60 years.The Rock'n'Blues Experience features interviews and conversation with legends of the genre and the very best of today's upcoming talent

Another sad day as the rock world bids goodbye to one of the great drummers of the last generation Chris Slade player professionally for over 63 years with some of the biggest names in music including Dave Gilmour, Jimmy page and Paul Rodgers in the Firm, Uriah Heep, Manfred Mann and of course AC/DC as they returned to global stardom with Razors Edge and he was the man on the drum stool for Thunderstruck as Chris steps away from music to concentrate on his health and well being we go back to revisit some of the great stories from his incredible career so listen in and watch one of the great drummers of the last 60 years in the video below.
