She is the 2025 winner of the Amplify Christy Award for Bitter and Sweet, the 2024 Emma Award winner for Best Contemporary Romance for The Thing About Home, and the 2015 Emma Award winner for Inspirational Romance of the Year for her novel Unbreak My Heart. She writes inspirational book club fiction and Christian romance featuring complex characters in crisis, with a focus on themes of identity, purpose, forgiveness, and hope. Originally from a small coastal town in New Jersey, she now writes from her home in South Carolina.
