  • "God Doesn’t Waste Our Pain" – A Conversation with Kristen Rickards
    2026/03/07
In this heartfelt episode, I sit down with Kristen Rickards for a conversation about faith, healing, and finding purpose through life’s difficult seasons.

During our discussion, Kristen shared a powerful truth that became the title of this episode: “God doesn’t waste our pain.” She opens up about some of the trials and personal experiences that shaped her faith journey—moments of loss, discouragement, and searching for hope. Through it all, she discovered that God can transform even the most painful seasons into something meaningful.

Kristen also talks about her devotional, A Life Worth Living In Christ: 90 Days to Clarity, Purpose, and Hope, a book inspired by her own experiences and written to encourage others who may feel lost, stuck, or overwhelmed. Her heart is to remind readers that even in the darkest moments, God is present and working.

Although Kristen briefly mentioned it in passing during the interview, she is also a radio host on Christian Mix 106, a recording artist whose debut album Faith Can Move Mountains is streaming now, and a model who has been featured on the cover of Christian Teen Vogue. Yet in this conversation, the focus is not on achievements but on the faith journey behind them.

This episode is an honest and encouraging reminder that God can bring hope, clarity, and purpose through every season of life.

Tune in to listen to the full conversation.

  • An Unexpected Banter and an Honest Conversation on Love , with Andre AJ Carter
    2026/01/31
Before I give you the full introduction to this guest, I have to share something a little fun and unexpected.

For the first time on this podcast, I found myself in a lively back-and-forth banter with my guest during a live recording — and I loved every minute of it. Andre AJ Carter and I went toe-to-toe for several minutes, exchanging perspectives, making strong points, and respectfully challenging each other. It was energetic, thoughtful, and honestly refreshing. I’ve never done this with any guest before, so if you’re a fiction or nonfiction writer, an avid reader, or someone who simply enjoys meaningful conversation, you’ll want to tune in and listen. And when you do, let us know whose side you found yourself agreeing with.

After that spirited exchange, we shifted back to the heart of why Andre joined me on the show — his work, his books, and his passion for helping people build healthier relationships. Andre shared how his writing has helped married couples, people in relationships, and even singles navigate love, conflict, purpose, and growth. What stood out was how deeply his work is rooted in practical wisdom and biblical principles, offering real solutions that people can actually apply to their lives.

We talked about relationships, marriage, personal responsibility, and how books can become powerful tools for healing, understanding, and lasting connection. Whether you’re married, dating, single, or simply interested in relationships that honor God, this episode offers insight, encouragement, and plenty to reflect on.

    About the guest:

Rev. Andre AJ Carter is an Interior Lifestyle Designer, certified Master Life Coach, and Goal Success Coach, widely known as “The Love Mechanic.” He grew up in Jamaica, Queens, New York, and endured an extremely difficult childhood marked by abuse, gang violence, and loss. Despite overwhelming odds, Andre’s story is one of resilience and transformation.

He is a published author, a three-time U.S. Library of Congress award winner for poetry, and has been recognized in Who’s Who in Poetry worldwide. At just 19, he became a songwriter and ghostwriter with 29 copywritten songs to his name. Andre is also a motivational speaker with a deep passion for helping underprivileged youth, couples, and individuals reframe their thinking, refocus their priorities, and rebuild their lives with purpose.

His work centers on relationship conflict resolution, breaking unhealthy habits, creating success through intentional living, and helping love last — grounded in faith and practical application.

This episode is honest, thought-provoking, and full of substance. Whether you come for the banter or stay for the wisdom, you’ll leave encouraged and challenged in the best way.
