This message, "Pure Religion" is the conclusion of our August series, "Bread of Life." Religion is man's attempt to gain access to God. So, can religion be pure? We're going back to see where some of our "religious" roots came from and what was the intent. Join us as we explore heart motivations that can either help us to hear, understand and live or to simply take what was said and create a system that appears spiritual and theological while being worthless to eternity. Scriptures taken from the Revised Lectionary: Deuteronomy 4:1-2, 6-9, Mark 7:1-8, 14-15, 21-23 and James 1:17-27.

New series for September, "Faith that Works." We are not talking about the works or things faith does, but rather, what really works with faith and what doesn't work with faith. This week is "No Favoritism." The Scriptures call it partiality. Join us as we get to the heart of favoritism that includes a walk through spiritual warfare, vengeance and divine retribution. Scriptures taken from the Revised Lectionary: Isaiah 35:4-7, Mark 7:24-37 and James 2:1-10.

Today's message is "Take Up the Cross" and is from our series for September, "Faith that Works." Have you turned down an opportunity for ministry from fear of doing something wrong? Our faith is often displayed by the way we live our life and the words that we speak. How can we say the right thing? How can we live the right way? Let's look at that point where actions, words, hearts and faith, all seem to intersect. Scriptures taken from the Revised Lectionary: Isaiah 50:4-9, Mark 8:27-38 and James 3:1-12.
