One of the most difficult things we face is how needy we really are, how blind we really are. All the world would love you to shut up and your internal world kind of wants that too. Pride, shame all stand in the way of your being honest with God and others you truly need. Fortunately God has been rescuing me on this for years and the idea of being needy out loud and what all the possibilities are here came from a YouTube Video by Dave Busby…Oh Taste and See 4 of 5 –

Jesus, said it perhaps even more clearly and distinctly in the first and foundational Beatitude in Matthew 5:3

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

To be poor is to be needy, and when you are really, really, really needy then you may finally will be needy out loud. Like your arm was just chopped off needy. The courage of the blind beggars in Luke 18:35-43. It stopped Jesus and…… and they were the only ones in the MULTITUDE that got a God touch that day. What have you been so needy about in your life that you got the promise of Matthew 5:3 – "The Kingdom Of Heaven"

Being Needy out loud is how the Jesus Labor of Love operates …. Car Repair help for Single Moms, Widows and Families in Crisis -If no one asked for help, (needy out loud), we would cease to be around.

The English translators struggle here because the Hebrew word God used is kind of an adverb. For example looking through the old testament here is the breakdown of how it is was translated in the KJV

Very (137x), greatly (49x), sore (23x), exceeding (18x), great (12x), exceedingly (11x), much (10x), exceeding (with H3966) (6x), exceedingly (with H3966) (5x), diligently (4x), good (3x), might (2x), mightily (2x), miscellaneous (17x).

So you could just take the simple child like approach and tell God, " I Love You THIIIIIIIIIIIIIS MUCH!!" Affection, hugs, kisses all feel part of that.
