    Max Verstappen broke his own record by winning his 16th race of the season on Sunday in Mexico. The three-time world champion edged pole sitter Charles Leclerc, who finished third.

    Between them, Lewis Hamilton stormed to P2 to continue to put pressure on Sergio Perez for second in the drivers championship. The home hero left the race in the first lap after misjudging an overtake in the first corner.
