  • Edwin Martin: You Can’t Outrun Your Mind - Breaking Mental Barriers Through Faith, Discipline, & Hope, Ep. 304
    2026/06/02

What do you do when the pain gets heavy, your mind gets loud, and quitting feels easier than continuing forward? In this deeply honest and inspiring conversation, Dr. Zach Clinton sits down with endurance runner and mental health advocate Edwin Martin to talk about resilience, suicide awareness, faith, mental toughness, and the hope that can still be found in the middle of suffering. From running 24 straight hours in honor of the 70 suicides in Charleston County last year to completing a 194-mile run across the state of South Carolina to support mental health initiatives, Edwin shares how choosing hard things transformed not only his body, but his mind, identity, and relationship with God. Together, they unpack Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, the silent struggles many men carry, the power of brotherhood and community, overcoming limiting beliefs, and why “chosen suffering” can prepare us for life’s hardest moments. Most importantly, this episode is a reminder that no matter how far behind you feel, how broken your past may seem, or how exhausted you are in the present moment, you are loved, your story matters, and with Jesus, there is always hope on the other side of the pain.

  • John Wayne Walding: Get Back To Work - Pain, Perspective, and the Process of Biblical Masculinity, Ep. 303
    2026/05/25

What does it look like to follow God… when everything in your life is falling apart? In this powerful Memorial Day episode and tribute, Dr. Zach Clinton sits down backstage at the most recent Ignite Men’s Impact Weekend with Green Beret veteran, Purple Heart recipient, Silver & Bronze Star Medalist, and warrior, John Wayne Walding, a man whose life is a living testimony of faith, courage, and resilience under fire. John Wayne served 12 years in the U.S. Army, including 7 years in the elite 3rd Special Forces Group. During the Battle of Shok Valley on April 6, 2008, he was struck by sniper fire that nearly severed his leg. In a moment that defines both grit and resolve, he applied a tourniquet and kept fighting alongside his team for hours. But this story isn’t just about what happened on the battlefield. It’s about what happened after. John Wayne opens up about the long road of recovery, becoming a below-the-knee amputee, and the internal battles many don’t see: mental health struggles, challenges in marriage, and the quiet weight that so many men carry but rarely talk about. Throughout it all, one truth stands out: faith is not tested in comfort; it’s revealed in the fire. We talk about what it means to trust God in suffering, to ask for strength instead of an easier life, and how pain, when surrendered, can become a tool for growth rather than an excuse for passivity. This conversation is also a direct challenge to men: to reject passivity, to embrace responsibility, to live with courage, humility, and intentionality, and to understand that real strength includes the willingness to be vulnerable and ask for help. John Wayne’s life reminds us that being a godly man isn’t about perfection…it’s about perseverance, surrender, and service. If you’re walking through pain, feeling stuck, or tempted to check out, this episode will meet you there… and call you forward.

  • When Jesus' Scars Redefine Yours: Tim Tebow on Identity, Intimacy and Impact Through the Lens of the Cross
    2026/05/22

Join us today for a special holiday weekend edition of “Built Different”!

What defines a life well lived? On this episode of the podcast, Dr. Zach Clinton welcomes Tim Tebow for a powerful conversation on identity, intimacy with Christ, and living a life marked by lasting impact. Known to many first for his achievements on the field: Heisman Trophy winner, national champion, NFL quarterback…Tim’s deeper impact has always extended far beyond football. From serving the “Most Vulnerable People” through the Tim Tebow Foundation to stepping into fatherhood with his wife Demi-Leigh and their daughter Daphne, Tim shares how identity, royalty, and calling have taken on even greater meaning in this season of life. At the center of this conversation is Tim’s new book, If The Tree Could Speak, a creative retelling of the crucifixion inspired by Luke 19:40. Through the perspective of the cross itself, Tim invites us to slow down and truly see the love displayed there, not as distant history, but as a present and personal rescue mission. Together, we explore what it means to live with urgency without anxiety, to lead with conviction anchored in love, and to “look again” at the people the world often overlooks. If you’ve ever felt unseen, dismissed, or forgotten, this episode is a reminder that the loudest declaration of love in history was completed for you.
