Have you ever wondered what the Book of Jubilees says about the stories we know from Genesis and Exodus? In this episode, we explore this fascinating ancient Jewish text and examine the additional details it provides concerning Creation, the patriarchs, Noah and the Flood, Abraham, angels, the Watchers, the Nephilim, the biblical calendar, and the division of the earth among Noah’s descendants.

Often called “Little Genesis,” the Book of Jubilees retells portions of Genesis and Exodus while organizing biblical history according to weeks of years and Jubilee cycles. We’ll consider how its teachings compare with Scripture, where it agrees or expands upon the biblical narrative, and why it was influential in ancient Judaism.

We’ll also discuss an important question: Should we view Jubilees as Scripture, historical background, or ancient interpretation? And what, if anything, can it help us understand about the biblical world?

Join me as we explore The Book of Jubilees—what does it reveal?

📖 As always, our foundation remains the Word of God. Ancient writings can provide valuable historical and cultural insight, but everything should be examined in light of Scripture.
