Welcome to Beyond Bitter—where Charles, Megan, and Ian stop pretending to be reasonable Big Brother analysts and get three minutes to complain about whatever is driving them insane.

In the first episode of this new Bitter Jury spin-off, there are no formal recaps, no carefully organized strategy discussions, and absolutely no promise that the conversation will stay on topic.

Megan kicks things off with perhaps the most important controversy of Big Brother 28: Angela making guacamole on all four live-feed cameras. Was the guacamole itself offensive? Was putting tomatoes in it the real crime? And why did America need a four-camera close-up of the entire process?

From there, Charles takes aim at what he sees as one of modern Big Brother's biggest problems: houseguests being so worried about their post-show social-media reputations that they're afraid to actually play the game. The crew debates villains, fan backlash, influencers, cancel culture, and why $750,000 should be more than enough motivation to cause a little chaos.

Ian has his own complaint after watching Big Brother Unlocked, leading to a discussion about Jay Mohr, who actually qualifies as a Big Brother superfan, and why some classic former houseguests might be much more entertaining choices for the show.

Then Megan tackles another pressing issue:

Why is Devens always floating around the pool fully clothed?

Charles gets his chance to revisit Ian's historically terrible podcast connection—and Cliff Hogg absolutely roasting him for it—before the conversation somehow turns into Yash's hair, anime characters, and whether Ian could actually survive inside the Big Brother house.

Finally, Ian comes to the defense of Survivor players competing on Big Brother. If Big Brother players have already invaded Survivor, can fans really complain when Survivor returns the favor? And at this point, after spending so much time in the BB house, are Dee and Devens even Survivor players anymore?

Charles, Megan, and Ian are back to break down a week that began with Barrett putting Angela, Dee, and Devens on the block and seemingly accomplishing exactly what everyone had been waiting for all season. But while Barrett celebrated his big move upstairs, Dee and Devens went to work downstairs—and completely changed the course of the week.

The crew debates whether Barrett made the right nominations, why his HOH lacked a clear target, and how allowing the rest of the house to strategize without him turned what could have been a game-defining week into a mess.

Then it's time for BB Comics, where Barrett's promises start catching up with him and Yash wins another veto. Dee, Devens, and Angela get a rare opportunity to plead their cases at the veto meeting, Drew's behind-the-scenes strategy gets exposed, and Yash continues to prove that he may be far more dangerous than anyone expected earlier in the season.

But everything changes on eviction night.

Devens wins the BB Blockbuster, leaving Dee and Angela on the block—and Dee immediately goes into full campaign mode. She lays out her game in front of the entire house, challenges Taylor and Yash to stop playing someone else's game, and turns the final minutes before the vote into exactly the kind of frantic Big Brother gameplay the Bitter Jury has been begging to see.

It works.

Angela is evicted 3–2, becoming the first Icon sent out of the house, while Dee survives yet another week.

Charles, Megan, and Ian debate whether keeping Dee was a massive mistake, why her aggressive style is starting to win them over, whether the Survivor players have simply outplayed the Big Brother cast, and just how badly Barrett mishandled his opportunity to seize control of the season.

Charles, Megan, and Ian sit down with Cliff to talk about his continued obsession with Big Brother, staying up all night watching the live feeds, the evolution of his Cliff Notes recaps, and what it’s like to still be part of the Big Brother family years after playing the game himself.

Then it’s time to dive into Big Brother 28.

Cliff gives his take on the season’s controversial mix of newbies, returning Big Brother players, and Survivor legends, why he thinks mixing experienced players with first-timers can throw off the balance of a season, and whether Dee and Devens are still playing Survivor inside the Big Brother house. The crew also debates the BB Blockbuster, the disappearance of the classic Battle Back, and whether some of Big Brother’s newer twists actually discourage players from making big moves.

From there, Cliff delivers his own mini Cliff Notes rundown of a house that is suddenly wide open. Barrett’s HOH has finally put the Icons in danger, Yash has the veto, the “Newbie Five” are already turning on each other, Drew and Yash are targeting one another, and everyone is beginning to realize that the next major threat may not be a vet at all.

Cliff explains why Yash has surprised him more than almost anyone this season, why Melody’s subtle social game deserves more credit, how Taylor could become a legitimate dark horse, and which BB28 players remind him of people from his own season.

And, appropriately for a podcast called The Bitter Jury, the group gets into jury management and bitter voting. Cliff reflects on threatening to poison the jury against Jackson during BB21, explains why it was strategy rather than genuine bitterness, and makes the case that when someone outplays you in Big Brother, sometimes you simply have to respect the move.
