Dr. Murray Vasser gives a lecture on what we mean by the doctrine of biblical inerrancy. This lecture was recorded as part of the 2026 Chamberlain Holiness Lectures, an annual event at WBS. The theme of this year’s gathering was “Sanctitas et Scriptura,” or holiness and Scripture, featuring lectures from each of our full time faculty members on the core teachings and practices that have shaped our seminary. The lectures will be part of a forthcoming book that we hope to make available later in 2025.

Bishop John Mark Richardson of COGIC and president of the Wesleyan Holiness Connection shares a message from Ecclesiastes on why we are better together. An address given at the 2025 Commencement service of Wesley Biblical Seminary.

Dr. Barry Male, WBS Alumnus and Pastor of Madison Methodist Church in Madison, Mississippi, looks at the events of Holy Week as shared in John’s Gospel, focusing on how Jesus continued to pour into his disciples as the model mentor.

Dr. Rebecca Luman, long time instructor and staff member at WBS, shares a Lenten devotional centered on our God who suffers with us, and the significance of the wounded hands of Jesus to those who feel our own woundedness and brokenness.

Rev. Dr. Willie Tobias, pastor of New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi, preaches from Psalm 133 on the power of Unity to bring joy, spiritual anointing, and missional fruit. Dr. Tobias is an alumnus of WBS having received his doctorate in ministry from WBS in May of 2023.

Dr. Rick Boyd, Professor of Inductive Bible Study at WBS, teaches from Psalm 136 on the ongoing way of life and discipline in the New Covenant given to us in Christ, marked by the loyal covenant love of God and the brother-sister relationships of the family of God that encourage us onward.

Teaching from John chapter 15, WBS Registrar and instructor Jeff Bakos looks at the example of Jesus, who called his disciples “friends,” and challenges us with the need for true friendships to sustain us in our walk and our ministry, and as a witness to the self-giving love of God to the world.

WBS Librarian and instructor Grace Andrews asks the question, “Who is Jesus?” — a question which Jesus himself asks of his disciples in Luke chapter 9. Exploring the context surrounding this event, Grace challenges us to never be content in resting on our past revelations of Christ, but to continually be pressing in to learn more about him, and more importantly, to be continually seeking to listen and obey what he directs us to do.
