He lands in Romans 8: “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.”

From there, we talk through why translation details can sometimes confuse readers, why “no condemnation” matters, and why the end of Romans 8 is just as important as the beginning: nothing can separate the believer from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We also address one of the hardest objections: “What if someone walks away?” That leads us into the difference between a true believer and a mere professor, with examples like Judas and Demas. Not everyone who claims Christ has been born again, and that matters when we talk about assurance.

Finally, we unpack several of the “big scary” passages often used against eternal security, including Galatians 5, Hebrews 6, and Hebrews 10. These passages deserve careful handling, and context changes everything.

If you have ever wondered whether one failure can erase your faith, you are not alone. The question matters because the stakes are huge: either salvation depends on our ability to keep ourselves clean, or it depends on what God actually does when He saves.

We discuss why self-keeping collapses under God’s standard, why Jesus defines sin at the heart level, and why assurance has to rest on Christ rather than our performance.

We also talk about being sealed by the Holy Spirit as God’s earnest payment, the difference between relationship and fellowship through the prodigal son, and Romans 4 on imputed righteousness and sin not being charged to the believer’s account.

The first Christians did not have Romans, Galatians, Ephesians, or a completed New Testament to point people to Jesus. So how did they prove that Jesus was the Messiah? They preached from the Old Testament.

In this episode of The Bible Says Podcast, we continue our study of how the early church used the Scriptures to show that Jesus is the promised Christ. We walk through specific messianic prophecies that point directly to His betrayal, crucifixion, resurrection, and mission.

We begin in Zechariah 11, where the Messiah is connected to thirty pieces of silver, money thrown in the house of the Lord, and a potter. Then we follow those details into Matthew 26–27, where Judas betrays Jesus and the silver is later used to buy the potter’s field.

From there, we connect the Passover lamb to the crucifixion account in John 19, showing why the command that no bone be broken matters. We also look at Psalm 16 and Peter’s sermon in Acts 2, where the resurrection of Christ is presented not as a later Christian invention, but as something already promised in Scripture.

A major focus of this conversation is Isaiah 53, one of the clearest Old Testament pictures of the suffering Messiah. We discuss the rejected servant who bears sin, is wounded for transgressions, and is cut off from the land of the living. We also address common objections, including the claim that these passages were changed later, and why the Dead Sea Scrolls matter when discussing texts like Isaiah.

Finally, we turn to Isaiah 61 and Luke 4, where Jesus reads in the synagogue and stops mid-verse, pointing to the difference between His first coming as Savior and His future return as King.

This episode is about more than prophecy charts or apologetics. It comes back to the question Jesus asked His disciples: Who do you say that I am?
