  • Following Jesus Through Delays | Mark 5:22-42 | The Beloved Church of Kalamazoo
    2026/08/23

Your daughter is dying. You found Jesus. He said yes. And then He stopped for someone else. In this Sunday message from The Beloved Church of Kalamazoo, Pastor Mo Brooks opens Mark 5:22-42 and preaches one of the most practical and powerful messages in our Following Jesus summer series.

The story of Jairus is not just about a miracle. It is about what happens when Jesus is on the way to your breakthrough and delays, detours, and bad news show up first. We get into seven principles to practice when you are following Jesus through a delay, including why you have to come to Jesus regardless of your status and pride, why your prayers need to be specific not general, why you must stay with Jesus even when everyone around you is telling you to quit, how to silence the professional mourners in your life who keep declaring your dreams are dead, and why letting Jesus into the toughest rooms of your life is the only way to see resurrection where you expected a funeral. The man asked for healing and received a resurrection. What God has for you is greater than what you are even asking for. Do not switch lanes. Do not give up. The delay is not the denial.

  • The Power of No
    2026/08/20

What if the most powerful word you could say is the one you have been afraid to use?

In this session of The Beloved Circle, we finish the story of Joseph, one of the most misunderstood men in Scripture, and discover that it was not the pit, the prison, or the palace that formed him. It was a single word. A refusal. A no that cost him everything and preserved everything God placed inside him.

We then move into Proverbs 25:28 and the words of Jesus in Matthew 5 to answer one of the most overlooked questions in the life of faith: What happens to a person who has never learned to say no?

If every yes you give has started to feel like a trap, this teaching is for you.

The Beloved Circle meets every Thursday night. We are The Beloved Church of Kalamazoo, a community restoring people to wholeness by leading them to follow Jesus. We gather for people who are done performing and ready to live free.

  • Five Things Every Good Man Needs to Know | Father’s Day Message | Galatians 6:7-10 | The Beloved Church of Kalamazoo
    2026/06/21

You’ve thought about giving up. On your faith, your family, your purpose, maybe even life itself. And if you’re honest, you’ve felt that pull more than once.

In this Father’s Day message from The Beloved Church of Kalamazoo, Pastor Mo Brooks opens Galatians 6:7-10 and breaks down five things every good man, and honestly every person, needs to know to keep going when the harvest hasn’t shown up yet. We get into why God’s system of sowing and reaping never fails and cannot be mocked, why tiredness is real even for people doing everything right, why God’s timing operates on an appointed schedule you cannot rush, why giving up right before the harvest is the costliest mistake you can make, and why more opportunities to sow are coming whether you feel ready or not. Pastor Mo gets real about pressure, perfectionism, and why doing good without seeing results yet does not mean God has forgotten you.

This message is for every father, every son, and every person who has ever wondered if staying faithful is even worth it. It is.
