Do you have a question, submit it here.

Why did you come today, really? Not the polite answer, not the version you’d say out loud, but the one that shows up in your thoughts, reactions, and conversations when nobody is watching. We start with that gut-check because it reveals what we actually worship, and it points straight into a struggle every believer knows: the daily battle of the mind.

We walk through Romans 8 and hold onto the best news imaginable: there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. But we also treat that truth like it deserves to be treated, as something that changes us. A mind set on the flesh slides toward death, even when it’s dressed up as religion, while a mind set on the Spirit leads to life and peace. We talk about how this shows up in real life, from subtle sins like lying and pride to the urge to control outcomes, provoke others, or envy what someone else has.

Then we push into what spiritual growth looks like on a normal week: crucifying the flesh, keeping in step with the Holy Spirit, and pursuing what Jonathan Edwards called “holy affections” a deep longing for God that’s stronger than distractions. Isaiah 26:3 brings it home with a promise many of us want but few of us practice: perfect peace for the one whose mind is stayed on God because he trusts Him.
