No more side quests! We're entering the Omega Relay. Some announcements!

Badda-Bing Badda-Bang:

It's a holosuite episode. The club is invaded by gangsters? Sisko doesn't like Vic? Oooh a casino heist. The Vegas that should have been, perhaps. The challenges of historical fiction. This may count as an O'Brien Suffers episode by default. Go Birds. Putting Starfleet officers in a heist may almost be a cheat code. What is a self-aware program in Star Trek?

Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges:

Bashir gets to be real spy now. Section 31, Jude's favorite. We slip sideways into Voyager a bit. Doctor-Spy Bashir. Romulan interrogation techniques. Double agents! Jude doesn't like Starfleet mixed with cynical spycraft. The Dominion War vs other challenges so far. The effects of GWOT on Trek.

Field of Fire:

Bashir seals a pilot's fate. A... gun? Only Odo would know how to investigate a firearm death. Jude tries to derail the episode. Teleporting bullets. Ezri has a lifetime ban on Steam. Worf is surprisingly cool. Why Hannibal works and Joran doesn't. This episode just doesn't work. Should you really be able to 3D print a perv gun that can shoot through walls? "emotions" feels like a really boring motivation, and the resolution feels really awkward. Starfleet Flock Cameras.

Chimera:

The O Boys on a runabout. A new changeling. A new way to have a Link? Also a new slur. Odo has always been a fair and honest man??? A surprisingly X-Men episode.

We avoid talking about DS9 for even longer this time. Skip to 16:21 if you don't really care about our hosts' hyperfixations. Zathras was too tired to cut it down.

Prodigal Daughter: Miles O'Brien, Private Eye. Ezri hasn't been home in a while. Manipulative parents. "He's got a Shaggy vibe." Awkward family dinners. This episode's mob stuff is disappointing.

Emperor's New Cloak: Directed by LeVar Burton! Time for some Ferengi bullshit. How does the Great Exchequer work? We invent a religious schism. There's a mirror Ezri already? Excellent miming. Vic Fontaine is not a hologram? Fanfic resolved. Rom continues to be the GOAT.
