This is a cozy autumn bedtime story about a boy who follows a trail of fireflies, gnomes, and fairies through the woods to a witch's cottage, where they brew the last cider of the season together.

Follow August as he wanders from his grandparents' house into a foggy autumn forest full of small magic, and spends the evening helping a witch named Hazel brew her last batch of cider before winter. Rain sounds and deep crimson noise play underneath the story and continue long after it ends, for uninterrupted sleep.

What's covered in this video:

- The opening follows August, restless at his grandparents' house on an autumn night, drawn outside by the distant sound of a kettle.

- The walk through the woods introduces a compass-marked moth, a twig-and-acorn forest creature, amber late-season fireflies, gnomes, and a fairy glimpsed and lost again.

- The middle section follows August helping Hazel gather and stir the last cider of the fall season, joined by gnomes and a small chorus of humming fairies.

- The closing settles August by the fire with a mug of warm cider as rain begins outside, easing his body into sleep phrase by phrase — shoulders, jaw, legs, breath.

Opening Reflection: There's something about the first cold night of autumn that makes the whole world feel a little more magical, isn't there? Like the ordinary woods behind a house might just be hiding something after all. I'd love to know: what's your favorite cozy autumn memory — the kind you still think about when the leaves start turning? Tell me in the comments.
