  • Why the NBA Let Kawhi Off Easy—and Hammered the Clippers | Eric Pincus
    2026/09/08

Why did Kawhi Leonard receive only a $700,000 fine while Steve Ballmer and the Clippers were punished much more severely?

Bleacher Report NBA writer and salary-cap expert Eric Pincus joins me to break down the NBA’s investigation, why Kawhi’s contract wasn’t voided, the NBPA’s role in the outcome and why fighting the league could make things even worse for the Clippers.

We also discuss Gillian Zucker and Lawrence Frank, what this means for other NBA teams and whether more information could still come out.

  • The Nuggets Had No Choice But to Trade Peyton Watson
    2026/08/21

Peyton Watson is headed to Cleveland, and the Nuggets are taking a lot of heat for letting him go. But I don’t think the decision is as bad as it looks.

Denver had already put itself in a difficult second-apron situation, and paying Watson $22 million per year would have made getting back under it extremely difficult. I think the Nuggets mismanaged their cap situation. They were stuck between a rock and a hard place.

For Cleveland, I really like the move. Watson gives them the size, defense and athleticism they need around James Harden, Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. Cleveland is already all-in, and I think they took advantage of Denver’s situation.

I break down the trade, why Denver made the move, what Cleveland is getting in Watson, and whether this changes the Nuggets’ place in the Western Conference.

  • The Kawhi Leonard Scandal Just Keeps Getting Worse
    2026/08/10

The Kawhi Leonard scandal just keeps getting worse. First it was Aspiration, then Rhode Island FC, and now Daktronics.

Pablo Torre keeps finding more information, and at this point the NBA has to get this investigation right. If Kawhi and the Clippers did circumvent the CBA, I think the punishment needs to be severe enough that no other owner looks at this and thinks it's worth trying.

I talk about the latest reporting, what the punishment should be, why fair market value matters with these outside deals, and why I think this could be Adam Silver's biggest test as commissioner.

Let me know what you think the NBA should do if the Clippers and Kawhi are found to have circumvented the cap.
