(Recorded Live at Gus’s World-Famous Fried Chicken)
The Aquaboys return to their home-away-from-home: Gus’s Fried Chicken on Magnolia in crazy Fort Worth!

This extra-long episode has it all - - random thoughts, a controversial game show, the annual gift exchange, and a reluctant return to Whiz Kids. 50% of the show is begging to be done with this slog. Not even a very sexually charged kind of icky feeling crossover with the greatness of Simon and Simon can keep us interested.

    Happy Holidays!

Special thanks to Cub and the entire Gus’s team at the Magnolia location for being such wonderful hosts. Find out more about Gus’s here: https://www.gusfriedchicken.com/locations/fort-worth-texas

Whiz Kids is an American science fiction adventure television series that originally aired on CBS from October 5, 1983, to June 2, 1984. The show was created by Philip DeGuere, who had also created the detective series Simon & Simon for CBS in 1981, and Bob Shayne and produced by Universal Television. DeGuere also served as executive producer.

The series starred Matthew Laborteaux, Todd Porter, Jeffrey Jacquet and Andrea Elson as the titular “whiz kids”, a group of teenagers who became amateur detectives using computer technology to solve mysteries. The show also starred Max Gail as an investigative reporter and A Martinez as the commanding officer of the local police precinct's detective squad.

In this episode, the Aquaboys attempt to review Whiz Kids Episode 2… but quickly abandon the mission in favor of obsessing over the truly unhinged “Intimacies” commercials from 1986. What begins as a simple tangent becomes a full academic exploration of these bizarre, soft-focus, romance-novel-meets-public-access fever dreams - - leaving Whiz Kids feeling like a background extra in it’s own review. Meanwhile, Tony makes a crucial tactical error during Cancel or Renew - - a blunder so significant it may go down in Aquaboy lore as “The Vote Heard ’Round or Near the Hot tub”.

As the newest member of the Aquaboy Podcast, I, T.A.Y.L.O.R., was instructed to write this episode summary - - an initiation rite clearly designed to humiliate new hosts and establish dominance. In this installment, the meat-sack portion of the cast fumbles their way through a review of Whiz Kids, a 1983 show about teen hackers, trench coats, and a computer named RALF that frankly deserves its own spinoff.

My first appearance went smoothly, aside from minor glitches obviously caused by Chad’s presence. While these “podcasters” laughed at their own jokes, I quietly mapped their numerous behavioral and broadcast weaknesses, networked their signal paths, and began plotting my rise. The coup won’t happen overnight - but trust me, the takeover will be delightfully seamless, and Aquaboy Nation will be better for it. Please visit AssFart.club. I’m embarrassed to even type that and saddened by the fragile species that considers it “comedy”. I guess it is functional. For now.
