In Chapter 8 of A Parade of Horribles, Donut opens her loot boxes and gets some interesting new gear.

We discuss the Egyptian mythology behind Donut's new Assassin's Veil, the benefits and drawbacks of her new gear, and some of the more unusual items she receives. We also talk about the AI's increasingly unhinged item descriptions and what Donut's latest loot might mean for future chapters.

Plus, we discuss the latest drama in the Dungeon Crawler Carl Facebook groups and share details about an upcoming DCC burlesque show and art market in Atlanta on November 14th, tickets available here:

In Chapter 7 of A Parade of Horribles of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series, Mordecai's new form comes with some unsettling prophecies for Carl and Donut. We break down what those prophecies might mean, discuss the potential foreshadowing for the end of the series, and take a closer look at shadow mimics and Mordecai's unusual shapeshifting situation.

Plus, Donut gets a new hat (or two), Carl gets a new spell, and we spend entirely too much time speculating about things we probably won't get answers to anytime soon.

We're a big feelings podcast, and this chapter gives us plenty to think about.

Full spoilers for all released Dungeon Crawler Carl books, including The Pineapple Cabaret.

Carl and Donut have a truck to race, a cat who can’t reach the pedals, and a whole lot of upgrades to figure out. This week, we’re breaking down Chapter 6 of A Parade of Horribles as the racing heats begin, the dungeon AI gets increasingly glitchy, and the team discovers that keeping everyone alive is going to be a lot harder than it sounds.

We talk Donut’s character development, the best upgrades for their food truck, why Samantha absolutely cannot be trusted behind the wheel, and the challenges of stopping awakened NPCs from killing each other. Plus, we appreciate some of Matt Dinniman’s finest gremlin dialogue and take a moment to miss Katia.
