Doomscrolling is stealing your time, and this episode is your reset button. Abby and Katy break down the “analog basket” idea - a simple, delightfully practical way to swap screen time for hobbies you actually want to do. Abby shares what’s been filling her week, from a surprise Nespresso Marketplace win and pumpkin coffee experiments to a live taste test of protein soda that is somehow both weirdly good and deeply questionable. Katy also shares her real-life update, including settling into Texas, finding tiny pockets of joy in Waco, and trying to hold onto sanity through heat, babies, and too much indoor time. Then the conversation turns into a full-on blueprint for making life feel more offline again. You’ll discover:

• What an “analog basket” is and how to build one without making it complicated
• Which activities actually belong in it, from crochet and watercolor to letter writing, journaling, and word searches
• Why the best analog hobbies are the ones you can reach for fast, not the ones that become another chore
• How reading, cleaning, music, and crafts can all become screen-free anchors in your week
• The sneaky way phones hijack your attention even when you do not even want to scroll

Abby and Katy also get honest about the tension between wanting a fuller offline life and living in a world that rewards constant posting, constant checking, and constant stimulation. If you’ve felt your attention span shrinking, your phone pulling you in without permission, or your favorite hobbies getting buried under endless scrolling, this conversation will feel uncomfortably relatable in the best way. Perfect for anyone who wants more peace, more creativity, and a little less brain rot. If you need ideas for getting off your phone without becoming a whole new person overnight, this one is for you.
