“It is much nicer to learn from somebody else’s mistakes than your own.”

Sir Chucklenugget discovers a mysterious dungeon and charges straight inside. Unfortunately, his brave adventure ends with a missing boot, burnt eyebrows, a battered shield and several painful lessons.

So Stanky has a better idea. In this exciting kids story podcast, they return to the dungeon with The Adventurer’s Handbook - a book filled with the mistakes of explorer Barnaby Bruisebottom.

• 🌉 A rotten bridge teaches them to look carefully before stepping.
• 🗿 A stone guardian shows them that sometimes standing still is safer than fighting.
• 🚪 A beautiful golden door turns out to be much more dangerous than the ugly one.
• ⚔️ Swinging blades become easier once they stop rushing and spot the pattern.

Then they reach a final chamber that is not in the book. This time, Stanky and Sir Chuck must use everything they have already learned to solve the puzzle themselves.

Their adventure shows that mistakes can teach us something useful - and we do not always have to make every mistake ourselves. We can listen, read, learn from other people’s experiences and then use those lessons when we face a new problem of our own.
