  • The Presidio Daycare Scandal: Satanic Panic or Military Cover-Up?
    2026/09/30

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.

In 1986, accusations of child abuse emerged from a daycare serving military families at the Presidio of San Francisco. Authorities eventually investigated reports involving dozens of children, several of whom were reportedly diagnosed with chlamydia.

The case became even darker when a child identified Michael Aquino, a decorated Army psychological-operations officer who openly practiced black magic and founded the Temple of Set. Army CID retained Aquino as the subject of serious alleged offenses, but he was never criminally charged.

While the investigation was still active, the daycare burned in a fire the FBI suspected was arson. The prosecution against daycare supervisor Gary Hambright later collapsed, adults refused to cooperate, and the statute of limitations expired.

In this episode of The 99th Meridian, we investigate what happened at the Presidio, why the ritual allegations were dismissed as “Satanic Panic,” and whether the greatest protection the perpetrators received was convincing the public that organized occult abuse could never be real.

  • The Acid King: Ricky Kasso and the Satanic Murder of Gary Lauwers
    2026/09/23

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.

In the summer of 1984, the quiet Long Island town of Northport became the center of one of the most disturbing crimes of the decade.

Seventeen-year-old Ricky Kasso, known locally as the “Acid King,” had developed a reputation for heavy drug use, fascination with Satanism, and increasingly bizarre behavior. Then his friend Gary Lauwers disappeared.

Weeks later, police uncovered Lauwers’ body in the woods.

According to investigators and witness accounts, Kasso had brutally attacked Lauwers while demanding that he profess his love for Satan. Kasso later reportedly interpreted the call of a crow as a sign of Satan’s approval. Within days of his arrest, Kasso was dead, found hanging in his jail cell.

The murder exploded into national headlines and became one of the defining stories of the emerging Satanic Panic. But almost immediately, two competing explanations emerged. Was Gary Lauwers murdered in an actual Satanic ritual, or was this primarily a drug-fueled killing wrapped in occult imagery by a group of disturbed teenagers? Even the Suffolk County district attorney eventually emphasized drugs as the underlying motive, while acknowledging the ritualistic elements of the crime.

In this episode of The 99th Meridian, we trace Ricky Kasso’s descent into drugs and occult fascination, the murder of Gary Lauwers, the strange events surrounding the crime, and the media storm that followed. Then we ask the deeper question: even if the sensational claims of organized Satanic cult activity were exaggerated, does that mean the spiritual forces Kasso was deliberately invoking should be dismissed?

  • The Babalon Working: Sex Magick, Rocket Science & the Scarlet Woman
    2026/09/16

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.

In 1946, rocket scientist Jack Parsons and science-fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard carried out a series of occult rituals in Pasadena, California, that became known as the Babalon Working.

Parsons was already deeply involved in Aleister Crowley’s Thelema and the Ordo Templi Orientis, but the Babalon Working pushed his occult practice into much stranger territory. He believed Babalon, the Scarlet Woman of Thelemic tradition, was a real spiritual intelligence that could be contacted and ultimately brought into physical manifestation.

The operation began with Parsons attempting to summon an “elemental mate” who could serve as his Scarlet Woman. Over the following days, Parsons recorded violent winds, unexplained knocking, strange lights, apparent physical disturbances, and alleged spiritual communications. Then, shortly after declaring the ritual complete, Parsons met Marjorie Cameron, a red-haired woman he quickly became convinced had been brought into his life through the Working. From there, the ritual escalated.

Parsons and Cameron began performing sexual magick intended to invoke Babalon, while Hubbard acted as Parsons’ seer and scribe. Parsons later claimed to receive a new revelation called Liber 49, or The Book of Babalon, and came to believe that he had assisted in the “birth” of a supernatural force that would eventually be “loosed on the world.”

In this episode of The 99th Meridian, we trace the Babalon Working from its occult roots through the rituals themselves and into the bizarre aftermath involving Aleister Crowley, L. Ron Hubbard, Marjorie Cameron, the Moonchild concept, Parsons’ financial collapse, and his eventual death in a laboratory explosion.

Was the Babalon Working simply the product of obsession, coincidence, and occult psychology?

Or did Jack Parsons actually make contact with something?

  • Four Men Vanished From Their Canoe | The Allagash Abductions
    2026/09/09

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.

The Allagash Wilderness Abductions (1976): UFO Encounter, Missing Time & Hypnosis | The 99th Meridian

In August 1976, four friends entered the remote Allagash Wilderness of northern Maine for a canoeing and camping trip. What happened on Eagle Lake would eventually become one of the most famous alleged alien-abduction cases in American history.

Jack and Jim Weiner, Charlie Foltz, and Chuck Rak reported seeing a massive glowing object hovering over the trees. After signaling it with a flashlight, a beam of light reportedly began moving toward their canoe. Their next clear memory was reaching shore, where the large campfire they had built before fishing had mysteriously burned down to embers.

More than a decade later, disturbing dreams and hypnotic-regression sessions produced an even stranger story: all four men described being taken aboard a craft and examined by non-human beings.

But the Allagash case becomes much more complicated when you dig deeper. Were four witnesses independently describing a genuine encounter? Did hypnosis manufacture memories that were never there? What do we make of one witness later challenging the abduction story? And if something truly did happen in those woods, does the modern “extraterrestrial” explanation actually tell us what these entities are?

In this episode of The 99th Meridian, we investigate the Allagash Wilderness Abductions, the evidence for and against the story, and what the case might suggest about the deeper spiritual reality behind alleged encounters with non-human intelligence.

  • Bohemian Grove & The Cremation of Care Ceremony
    2026/09/02

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.

Bohemian Grove: The Cremation of Care Ceremony, the Owl Shrine, and Alex Jones’ Footage

On this episode of The 99th Meridian, we explore the Bohemian Grove’s opening-night “Cremation of Care” ceremony in a private Northern California redwood forest, outlining its repeated structure: robed men with torches escort a human-shaped “Dull Care” effigy in a coffin, ferry it across a lake, address a forty-foot concrete owl shrine that “answers” via recorded voice, then burn the effigy using a flame from the “Lamp of Fellowship.” We'll trace the Bohemian Club’s history from its 1872 San Francisco founding among journalists, its owl totem and motto “Weaving spiders come not here,” the development of annual outdoor retreats, the Grove’s land acquisitions near Monte Rio, and the owl shrine built in the late 1920s. This episode argues that the rite’s symbolism, secrecy, and elite setting indicate an occult ritual, discusses Alex Jones’ 2000 infiltration footage, and evaluates the ceremony through a Christian spiritual-warfare lens that emphasizes idolatry, secrecy, and scriptural contrasts.

  • Origins of Occultism: The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn
    2026/08/26

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.

On this episode of The 99th Meridian, we're going to examine the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, an English occult school founded in 1888 by William Wynn Westcott, S.L. MacGregor Mathers, and William Robert Woodman, built on Rosicrucian, Hermetic, Masonic, and Kabbalistic ideas and a step-by-step system of grades, rituals, and secret study. Its roots can be traced to the 1614–1616 Rosicrucian manifestos, details of disputed origins tied to the Cipher Manuscripts and likely forged “Anna Sprengel” letters; it explains its structure from Neophyte through elemental grades to the Inner Order (Adeptus Minor), including practices like tarot, astrology, alchemy, Enochian and ceremonial magic. The episode covers its rapid growth, internal conflicts, the 1900 collapse, splinter groups, and lasting influence on modern Western occultism, including Aleister Crowley’s Thelema, then evaluates the system through a Christian spiritual warfare lens as a counterfeit “light” opposed to salvation in Christ.

  • Michael Aquino: The Temple of Set, MindWar, & The Presidio Daycare Scandal
    2026/08/19

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.

In this episode of The 99th Meridian, we are investigating the legacy of the 1980s Satanic Panic through the case of U.S. Army psychological operations officer Michael Aquino, who founded the theistic Temple of Set in 1975 after claiming a revelation from Set and later co-authored the “From PSYOP to MindWar” concept advocating comprehensive psychological control of entire populations. The episode traces Aquino’s military career, occult activities, writings (including The Diabolicon and The Book of Coming Forth by Night), and the 1986–1988 Presidio Child Development Center investigation in which children alleged severe abuse and ritual elements, a fire destroyed potential evidence, and authorities ultimately discontinued the Aquino investigation without charges, citing insufficient evidence and alibis. It contrasts the official outcome with ongoing survivor literature allegations, notes Aquino’s denials and legal actions, and examines unresolved claims that continue to raise questions.

  • Shadows in Science: Missing Minds of 2026 and the 1980s
    2026/07/01

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.

2026 Missing Scientists vs. the 1980s GEC‑Marconi Deaths: A Chilling Pattern Repeats

This episode compares the 2026 missing/dead scientist mystery, (thirteen cases since 2022 involving people linked to NASA, JPL, Los Alamos, plasma, nuclear, exotic propulsion, and high-level military work) to the 1980s GEC‑Marconi deaths and disappearances in Britain. It outlines early 2026-era cases beginning with plasma physicist Amy Eskridge’s ruled suicide amid prior warnings, then additional unclear deaths and vanishings including JPL and Los Alamos personnel, MIT physicist Nuno Loureiro’s shooting, Caltech astrophysicist Carl Grillmair’s porch killing, Maj. Gen. William “Neil” McCasland’s disappearance, and UFO researcher David Wilcock’s suicide. The script then recounts at least twenty-five Cold War-era GEC‑Marconi-linked deaths/missing persons tied to classified defense projects, many with unusual circumstances and open verdicts, and argues unknown, highly sensitive work may connect the patterns.
