📌 Discover the real root cause of overwhelm and how to reset your nervous system: https://www.powerperformanceplan.com
Exhausted by 2pm, but wide awake the second your head hits the pillow? Your brain is not broken and you are not a bad sleeper. There is a real reason it picks that exact moment to get loud, and it has almost nothing to do with your bedtime routine.
In this episode, I am going to explain why your brain wakes up the moment you try to sleep, why sleep hygiene alone cannot fix it, and what actually needs to change during the day so your nights get quiet.

❓ QUESTIONS ANSWERED
Why does my brain get louder right when I try to fall asleep?
During the day your attention is occupied by tasks and people, so your brain has no time to process anything. At night, when things finally go quiet, all the backlog of unfinished thoughts shows up at once.
Why doesn't sleep hygiene fix my racing mind at night?
Sleep hygiene helps with general sleep quality, but it cannot calm a nervous system that has been activated for 12 to 16 hours straight. The nervous system needs to come down gradually during the day, not just in the last 20 minutes before bed.
Do melatonin or sleep supplements actually help with a racing mind?
Most people already produce enough melatonin on their own, so supplementing rarely makes a real difference. Sleep aids can make you drowsy, but drowsy is not the same as calm, so deep, restorative sleep still does not happen if your system is still on high alert.
