Tune in here to this Tuesday's edition of the Brett Winterble Show!

Brett kicks off the program by talking about Texas politics and his concerns over how Zohran Mamdani’s progressive ideology could influence the state. Brett reflects on his time living in Texas, praising the state’s culture, food, barbecue, and traditions before arguing that political leaders should not attempt to fundamentally reshape its identity. He plays clips featuring comments about white supremacy, economic exploitation, religion, and different faith traditions as examples of the ideas he believes are being promoted.

Bo Thompson from Good Morning BT is also here for this Tuesday episode of Crossing the Streams. Brett and Bo talk about the death of Jim Bakker at 86 and the lasting impact of the PTL scandal on Charlotte and the surrounding community. Bo reflects on Bakker’s rise to prominence during the 1980s, the PTL organization’s influence, and the fraud and conspiracy case that ultimately led to Bakker’s downfall. He also discusses WBT’s coverage of the scandal at the time, remembering reporters and anchors who covered the story as it unfolded.

Bo explains how the controversy affected people who financially supported PTL and believed in Bakker and Tammy Faye Bakker. He also reflects on the complicated legacy of the couple and the continued presence of the PTL tower in Fort Mill. Bo also shares what he and the Good Morning BT team have coming up Wednesday, including cyber expert Teresa Payton, Congressman Mark Harris, and Dr. Scott Huffman on Good Morning BT!
