  • Beyond Me: Why Inheritance Without Capacity Becomes a Liability
    2026/10/05

What happens when a father builds success, wealth, and opportunity, but never prepares his family to continue what he started?

In this episode of Tempo with Chris Thomas, Chris challenges fathers and family leaders to rethink the meaning of legacy. Presence matters. Provision matters. Achievement matters. But none of those automatically mean the next generation has been prepared.

    The deeper question is:

What has your family actually gained because of what you have accomplished?

Chris introduces a four-part framework for building legacy that can survive beyond one generation:

    Acquire. Prepare. Transfer. Multiply.

He also explores five forms of capital every family should intentionally develop: Spiritual, Intellectual, Relational, Economic, and Institutional Capital.

Drawing from the biblical examples of David and Solomon, Abraham, and Noah, this episode examines why inheritance without wisdom, discipline, systems, and capacity can quickly become a liability.

A father can leave property without teaching property management. He can leave money without teaching financial literacy. He can leave a business without developing leadership. He can leave a name without teaching the next generation how to protect it.

Real legacy is not simply what your family receives after you are gone.

Legacy is what they are capable of continuing because you prepared them while you were here.

This episode is for fathers, future fathers, entrepreneurs, family leaders, and anyone serious about stewardship, generational wealth, family development, and building something that extends beyond themselves.

  • The Power of Assiduity: Staying Committed to Growth
    2026/09/14

Everyone seeks breakthroughs financial stability, physical fitness, personal growth, but we often want them overnight. The real key lies in a simple concept: Assiduity.

    What is Assiduity?

Assiduity means persistent and diligent effort. It’s not just about working hard; it’s about remaining committed to your goals long after the initial excitement fades. Chris Thomas emphasizes that assiduity is about sitting beside your work, staying engaged, and consistently pushing forward.

    The Importance of Repetition

Chris draws our attention to the difference between desire and development. Wanting something doesn’t equate to personal growth. Real development happens through repeated action. Research shows it often takes around 66 days to form a new habit not instant results. Your emotions may crave immediate success, but true development doesn’t cater to instant gratification.

    A Scriptural Reminder

In Galatians 6:9, we are reminded, "Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." This reflects the essence of assiduity: perseverance through the process leads to eventual rewards.

    Your Assignment

Identify one area in your life where you may be relying on motivation rather than assiduity.

    Ask yourself three questions:

    1. What must I repeatedly do?
    2. When will I do it?
    3. How long am I willing to stay committed before expecting results?

Growth can often feel mundane, but it’s in the consistent, repeated actions that we find real progress.

Remember to shift your focus from motivation to commitment. Assiduity will keep you in the game long after the initial spark fades. Own your tempo, move with purpose, and build with power. Don’t just chase goals; stay beside them to become the person capable of achieving them.

  • TempoTip | Stop Trusting Your Intentions
    2026/08/24

    TempoTip: Stop Trusting Your Intentions

Good intentions sound impressive, but they don't automatically produce good results.

In this episode of TempoTip Tuesday, Chris Thomas challenges the gap between what we intend to do and what we repeatedly choose to do. Drawing from behavioral science, the wisdom of Will Durant, and James 1:22, this episode examines why goals without systems often become nothing more than well-organized wishes.

You'll discover why specific behaviors outperform vague intentions, how repetition shapes identity, and why motivation was never designed to carry the entire weight of your personal development.

Because reading the book isn't the same as applying it. Buying the workout clothes isn't the same as working out. And owning six Bibles doesn't automatically make you spiritually mature.

The question isn't simply, "What do you want?"

    The better question is:

"What are you willing to repeat?"

It's time to stop depending on intention and start developing the systems, habits, and disciplines capable of producing the person you're trying to become.

Your future doesn't care about your intentions. Your future responds to your repetitions.
