In 2003, Charles Taylor was the biggest footballer in the country. He was the league’s best player and goal king. Hearts had won the league and in fact dominated for 9 years. Kotoko in dire need of a lift turned to Taylor and he gave them a nod. The transfer did not go down well with Hearts and it became a huge tussle between the two clubs.
