概要

For me (your host, Rudy 👋🏾), gaming isn't just a hobby; it's a huge part of my life. Not only the games but their soundtracks, musics and visuals have always inspired me. So I've been reaching out to the creative minds (designers, musicians, artists, and more) behind the games that I love and am inspired by for a chat over some food and drinks in Tokyo. Rather than keep these chats to myself, I'm excited to invite you all to the table, via this podcast. Hosted on Ausha. See ausha.co/privacy-policy for more information.tastybits pod SF

  • Tasty Bits Ep 2: Imani J. Dawson, Foamstar and Singing in Japan
    2026/04/02

    Welcome to Tasty Bits.

For this episode, I sat down with Imani J. Dawson over a meal in Tokyo. You might have heard her voice on the Digimon Trading Card Game, Foamstars (sadly no longer with us), or alongside Japanese artists like Eikichi Yazawa and YOASOBI.

We talk about her beginnings in Japan as a singer, the different opportunities that came her way, and how she approaches performing for gaming soundtracks. We also get into the realities of being a Black female singer in Japan, finding her voice, navigating the industry, and carving out her own path.

  • Tasty Bits Ep 1: Dmitry Cluev, from Shenmue to inKONBINI
    2026/03/10

Welcome to Tasty Bits. For this first episode, I sat down with Dmitry Cluev over gyoza in Tokyo. He is the founder of Nagai Industries and the creator of InKONBINI, a cozy convenience store simulator set in 90s Japan. We talked about his love for Shenmue, his move to Japan to build his own studio, and how Japanese culture shaped the look and sound of InKONBINI. He then opens up the real challenges of making a game on your own before sharing us a playlist that captures his mood of the moment. Big thanks to Nakai-san at Hatsumimi for having us.
