    The Buffalo Bills are off to a strong start, but which position groups are carrying the team—and which ones still have plenty of work to do?On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Matt Warren of SB Nation/Buffalo Rumblings for their weekly Buffalo Bills positional analysis and report card.     The Buffalo Bills are 2-0 and there’s plenty to feel good about—but that doesn’t mean everything has gone according to plan.On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran puts on his “Nitpicky Pat” hat and examines five things he hasn’t liked about the Bills through the first two games of the 2026 NFL season.Patrick starts in the secondary, where free-agent nickel corner Dee Alford hasn’t carried his strong training camp into the regular season.     Patrick Moran is joined by Matt Warren of SB Nation/Buffalo Rumblings to break down the Buffalo Bills’ wild win over the Houston Texans, grading every position group while examining what looked different under Joe Brady and Jim Leonhard.The biggest story is Josh Allen and a noticeably more aggressive Bills offense. Allen earns an A+ after throwing for 334 yards, accounting for four touchdowns and consistently attacking Houston downfield. Patrick and Matt discuss why allowing Allen to play his aggressive, gunslinger style may occasionally produce dangerous throws—but also puts enormous stress on opposing defenses.The guys go position-by-position through Buffalo’s performance. DJ Moore’s huge Bills debut, Khalil Shakir’s expanding role and Dalton Kincaid’s monster performance highlight an offense that suddenly looks loaded with different ways to attack defenses. Kincaid and the tight ends earn an A+ as Buffalo’s heavy use of two- and three-tight-end formations becomes one of the episode’s biggest tactical takeaways.Defensively, Deone Walker, Ed Oliver and Greg Rousseau lead an impressive performance up front. Patrick is especially critical of Damar Hamlin’s role as the dime safety and argues Buffalo needs to make a personnel adjustment before facing Detroit.The episode wraps with an early look at Bills vs. Lions on Thursday Night Football. Detroit presents major problems with Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta, while Aidan Hutchinson gives Buffalo another elite pass rusher to handle.
