  • Two ICU Nurses. 500 Jobs. Who Gets the Call?
    2026/08/25

Two highly experienced ICU nurses. Hundreds of newly posted jobs. No recruiter in the room.

Maya is looking for the hospital that will make her a better critical-care nurse: higher acuity, difficult cases, advanced technology and people she can learn from.

Rachel wants something different. She wants to know whether the hospital has built a system where excellent nurses can actually do excellent work: staffing ratios, support, scheduling, leadership and transparency.

We gave them hundreds of ICU nursing jobs posted in the previous seven days and listened to the conversation.

They call out Cleveland Clinic, UPMC, Vanderbilt, Texas Health, Summit Healthcare and others by name. Some get their attention. Some leave them wondering why the most important information is missing.

And somewhere along the way, Maya and Rachel start changing each other's minds.

This is what recruiting sounds like from the candidate side.

  • 500 Jobs. Two Top Sellers. Who Earns the Call?
    2026/08/13

Two successful Enterprise Account Executives. Neither is job hunting. Five hundred recently posted sales jobs.

Can any of them earn the right to interrupt a good career?

In this episode of Talent, Out Loud, Erin “The Closer” Vance and Theo “The Builder” Marsh react to what companies are actually offering enterprise sellers. Erin wants legible economics: quota, territory, attainment, OTE and evidence she can win. Theo wants agency: something unfinished, meaningful ownership and a chance to shape what comes next.

    They disagree. A lot.

But the bigger surprise is what they agree on: great candidates aren't asking companies to tell them everything. They're asking companies to tell them something consequential.

We look at real postings from Astronomer, Latent, Bilt, Rhombus, Meter, Formant and others, including one job that makes Erin immediately say no and Theo lean forward.

And that's exactly why it works.

  • Clark Built a Better Craft Career. Then the Job Post Tore It Down.
    2026/08/04

Clark Construction appears to have built something many employers struggle to find: a credible, proof-backed career proposition for skilled craftworkers.

Then candidates reach the job postings.

Training disappears. Advancement disappears. Project pride becomes a list of tasks. The company becomes more specific about what it expects while becoming less specific about what it offers.

In this episode of Talent, Out Loud, four synthetic craftworkers evaluate Clark through four different motivations: compensation, sustainability, professional respect and career progression.

They agree that Clark has something worth selling. They disagree on whether the company gives candidates enough confidence to act.

Because possessing the proof is not enough.

The proof has to reach the decision.
