Cam Talbot, a veteran goalie with deep ties to the New York Rangers, has inked a one-year, $950K deal with the Columbus Blue Jackets — just days after defenseman Carson Soucy also joined the team. With starting goalie Elvis Merzlikins sidelined and Jet Greaves still growing, Talbot brings much-needed NHL experience and reliability to net. Though his stats dipped last season with Detroit — posting a career-low save percentage and GSAA — his resume speaks volumes: he broke into the league with the Rangers, helped them reach the Stanley Cup Final, and earned two All-Star nods across seven teams since leaving New York.
