  • Building a Marriage Before 30: With Mikayla Cohen
    2025/12/11

This week, we’re joined by our dear friend Mikayla, newly married and glowing just one month after the big day. In a world where the conversation is often centered around dating, situationships, and celebrating singleness, we wanted to highlight a different truth: some people find their person early, grow up together, and build something beautiful long before 30.

Mikayla and her husband have been together for over ten years, and in this episode, she opens up about what healthy love has looked like for them from adolescence into adulthood. We dive into her best tips for partnership, the realities and stressors of wedding planning, and the pressure of societal expectations around what a wedding “should” be.

We also unpack some of the toxic language around “finding your person” and how that narrative can make people feel behind or unworthy. Together, we emphasize this reminder: wherever you are in your love journey — single, dating, settling down, or unsure, it’s valid. You’re not behind. You’re not ahead. You’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

Tune in for a grounded, heartfelt conversation about growing love, choosing partnership, and rewriting the norms around relationships.

Sip of the Week: Porto Tonic (a classic Portuguese cocktail containing a mix of port wine & tonic water. Usually served over ice with a citrus garnish.)

  • Growing Apart: “Is It a Me Thing?”
    2025/12/04

In this week’s episode, we get real about one of the most universal parts of your 20s: outgrowing friendships. We talk about how distance, time, mismatched energy, and shifting priorities can slowly create space between you and people who once felt like family.

We share our own experiences with recognizing when certain friendships were draining us instead of filling our cup, and how heartbreaking, but necessary it can be to step back. From tough confrontations to unexpected fallouts to moments where we didn’t feel seen by the people we trusted most, we unpack the messy, uncomfortable parts no one warns you about.

And because growth isn’t all loss, we end on a hopeful note: how we’re nurturing the friendships that feel aligned, supportive, and safe today.

If you’ve ever wondered whether growing apart means something is “wrong” with you, this episode will make you feel a little less alone.

  • Smile of the Year: “Happy Thanksgiving to You"
    2025/11/27

This week’s episode comes out on Thanksgiving, so we’re leaning all the way into gratitude. Every episode, we start with our “Smile of the Week," a ritual where we each share something that made us smile to help ground ourselves and practice looking for the good. But for this special holiday episode, we’re taking it bigger: welcome to Smile of the Year.

We each pick our five biggest “smiles” from the entire year — across categories we made together. We reflect on the moments, people, and experiences that lifted us, surprised us, or reminded us we’re growing. This tradition actually comes from something we used to do in our real friendship during tough seasons. Every day we’d write down ten things that made us smile in our notes apps and then read them to each other at night. It trained our brains to notice joy, even in the smallest places.

Grab something warm, settle in, and celebrate Thanksgiving with us — one smile at a time.

Sip of the week: Cranberry Mocktail (pure cranberry juice, ginger beer, a squeeze of orange w/ an orange zest & white sugar rim)

  • Quarter-Life Crisis: "I Don't Know Anything About Anything... About Anything"
    2025/11/20

This week, we get honest about our quarter-life crises. From career dissatisfaction and “What am I even doing?” spirals to the weirdness of getting older and navigating mental health, we open up about everything that’s been weighing on us. By the end, we each share three things that have changed for the better in the last year, reminding ourselves (and you) that even when life feels stagnant, growth is still happening in small, quiet ways. If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of your path, this episode is your reminder that you’re not alone.

  • The Toll of the Scroll: "TikTok Has Given Me Insecurities I Didn't Know I Had"
    2025/11/13

In this episode, we trace the evolution of social media — from the days of posting for our friends to the era of endless scrolling and algorithmic validation. What once connected us now often leaves us comparing ourselves to people we’ve never met. We talk about how TikTok shifted everything — the rise of unrealistic beauty standards, the pressure to perform, and the exhaustion of being an artist in a world that demands constant content.

But it’s not all doom and gloom. We close with real, practical ways to quiet the noise, reconnect with yourself, and reclaim your peace in the digital age.

  • The Life of a Music Theatre Major: With Andrew Stevens Purdy
    2025/11/06

This week, our friend and Broadway performer Andrew Stevens Purdy joins us for a nostalgic deep dive into The Life of a Music Theatre Major.

A decade after first stepping onto Elon University’s campus, we rewind to those nerve-wracking college auditions, the excitement of getting in, and what made us choose Elon in the first place. We talk about the highs, the hardships, and the chaos that comes with a music theatre degree — a college experience that’s anything but typical.

We also open up about what it was like graduating in 2020, how the pandemic flipped our plans upside down, and the lessons we’ve learned since — both in art and in life. Andrew shares his journey from those college days to The Book of Mormon on Broadway, where he’s now three years and nearly 1,200 performances in.

It’s a nostalgic conversation about the unpredictable path of chasing your dreams.

  • Ghosting: "Maybe He Died"
    2025/10/23

In this week’s continuation of our spooky October series, we’re sitting face to face with the ghosts that haunt our hearts. We each share unsettling stories of times we were ghosted — not after one date, but by people we genuinely knew, trusted, and cared about.

We keep it light, but we also get real about the long-term hurt, confusion, and self-blame ghosting can leave behind. From confronting the never-ending “why?” to finding closure within ourselves, we open up about how we’ve learned to navigate the silence.

Plus, we dip into the psychology of ghosting — what we've learned about why people disappear, and why understanding it doesn’t always make it hurt less.

Grab your Ouija boards — this one’s sure to conjure up some feelings. 👻
