Tait Reynolds has made Clemson’s offense better, but has he done enough to prove he should be the Tigers’ long-term answer at quarterback?

Morgan Thomas breaks down what he likes about Reynolds, including his athleticism, toughness, pocket movement and ability to keep his eyes downfield when plays break down. But the passing production remains a major question. Reynolds has just one passing touchdown through 83 attempts, and inconsistent accuracy continues to show up on throws that should become routine.

The bigger question is what Clemson does next. If the Tigers find a way to win seven or eight games behind Gideon Davidson, strong defense and Reynolds’ running ability, should Dabo Swinney simply hand the quarterback job back to Reynolds next season?

Morgan explains why Clemson should continue developing Tait while still bringing legitimate competition into the quarterback room, including through the transfer portal if an upgrade is available.

The question going forward is simple: Is Clemson winning because of Tait Reynolds, or winning with Tait Reynolds?
