When God Doesn't Answer Your Why | Exodus 6 | Day 59

You obeyed. Things got worse. Now what?

Moses did exactly what God told him; and the Israelites ended up making bricks without straw.

So he went back to God with a raw, honest question: Why did You send me? And God didn't answer the why. He answered something deeper. Seven times He said: I will. Not I might. Not I'll try. I will.

Exodus 6 is one of the most concentrated declarations of covenant identity in all of Scripture; and it's God's direct answer to everyone who has ever obeyed and watched things fall apart.

You obeyed. You said yes. You did what God told you to do. And things got worse.

That's not a sign you got it wrong. That's Exodus 5 - and it may be the most important chapter in the Torah for anyone living inside an active calling right now.

Moses walked into Pharaoh's court with God's word in his mouth. Pharaoh escalated. The people suffered more. And the very people Moses came to rescue turned on him. So Moses did something most of us don't do - he took the raw, unpolished pain directly to God.

Today we dig into the theology of the hard beginning, why obedience doesn't guarantee immediate relief, and why the bigger the resistance, the more undeniable the deliverance.

The Bush is burning where YOU are!

WHAT IF GOD MEETS YOU IN THE ORDINARY? | Exodus 3 | Day 56

Moses wasn't praying. He wasn't fasting. He was just doing his job.

And God showed up in a bush.

Exodus 3 is one of the most important chapters in all of Scripture. Today we're in the text where God calls a stuttering fugitive shepherd by name, refuses to answer his question about qualifications, and says instead: I AM is with you. That's all you need.

If you're in a wilderness season that doesn't feel like preparation. If you've been asking "who am I" for so long you've forgotten there's a better question. If you've been waiting for a holier place before you expect God to show up.

WHAT IF GOD SEES YOU EVEN WHEN YOU CAN'T SEE HIM? | Exodus 2 | Day 55

You've done everything you can do. And now the basket is in the water.

Exodus 2 doesn't open with a burning bush or a rescue plan from heaven. It opens with a mother who couldn't keep her son safe, so she made a basket, put him in the river, and let go. And God used the empire's own house to raise the man who would bring it down.

Today we're in the text where God hears, remembers, sees, and knows, four verbs that change everything. If you're in a wilderness season that doesn't look like preparation, if you're groaning under something too heavy to explain, if you've let go and don't know if God caught it, Exodus 2 is your chapter.

The basket isn't the end of the story. Midian is not the end of the story. The groan is not the end of the story.

ARE YOU STILL TRYING TO PAY FOR WHAT'S FORGIVEN? | Genesis 50 | Day 53

You've heard the gospel. You've said the prayer. You know what the cross means. So, why are you still living like the hammer is coming?

Genesis 50 closes the book of Genesis with grief, burial, fear, forgiveness, and one of the most powerful declarations in all of Scripture. Joseph has already forgiven his brothers. He fed them, housed them, wept over them. And the moment their father dies, they fall on their faces and offer themselves as servants. Joseph weeps. Not from anger. From grief. Because there is a specific sorrow that comes when someone you love keeps paying for a debt you cancelled years ago.

Some of us do this with God every single day.

Today we work through the hashav of Genesis 50, the word that means God calculated redemption through the same events evil calculated for destruction. We meet pakod yifkod, the deathbed promise of Joseph that echoed across four hundred years of slavery and still landed. And we ask the question Joseph asked his terrified brothers: "Am I in the place of God?"

Whether you are in grief, guilt, or bitterness today, Genesis 50 has a word for you.

The coffin is not the ending. It never was.
