The world is a frightening and dangerous place. Because of the fall, there are many threats we face. Therefore, people are constantly looking for something they can take refuge in against spiritual attacks, financial hardships, relationship problems, and every other kind of malady. But in Psalm 16, David says that he takes refuge in the Lord. It is important that the Christian run to the mighty fortress of God in any kind of adversity and trial. In Galatians, Paul tells us that we have been set free by Christ…for freedom. He then admonishes us to stand firm and not to fall again into a yoke of slavery. The Holy Trinity is a difficult concept for us to wrap our heads around. Truth be told, we will not fully comprehend the Trinity on this side of heaven.
