She typed her problem like a human talking to a human. Alex said, "I see you're asking about shipping!" She didn't ask about shipping. She asked for her money back. She rephrased it.
Used smaller words. Said "I want a refund" like she was explaining it to a golden retriever. Alex came back as "Jordan." Same robot. Different name. Same articles about shipping. Forty-five minutes later, after typing "REPRESENTATIVE" in all caps like she was casting a spell, a real person appeared.
A human. With a pulse. They fixed it in ninety seconds. Ninety seconds, after the chat wasted her entire lunch break. Some conversations are support. Others are hostage negotiations with a toaster.
