In Episode 301, we sit down with Rebekah Gundrum, a Navy veteran whose passion for supporting her brothers and sisters in the veteran community is nothing short of inspiring. As the founder of Triggered 22, Rebekah shares the deeply personal journey that led her to create a mission-driven organization focused on addressing PTSD and suicide among veterans. With over 20 years of service and two sons currently serving, Rebekah brings both lived experience and hard-earned wisdom to the conversation. She opens up about the realities many veterans face after service and emphasizes the importance of staying connected—because, as she says, “in the community is where we need to be.” Her goal is simple but powerful: to ensure that no one feels alone and that every veteran knows there is hope, healing, and access to resources that can help them reclaim their lives. This episode also features music from Marine Corps veteran Luke Morgan, whose songs add depth and emotion to the conversation. From “Shotgun,” a tribute to lessons learned the hard way, to “Gaslight,” a bold take on manipulation in today’s world, and “Man I Used To Be,” a reflection on growth and fatherhood—Luke’s music perfectly complements the heart of this episode. We close with updates from The People’s Patriot Project, including upcoming community events like Patriots in the Park, the Rosemount Beyond the Yellow Ribbon gathering, and exciting initiatives like the online auction and Frontline Freedom Fest. This episode is a powerful reminder that through connection, purpose, and community, healing is possible—and no one has to walk that journey alone. In this episode, we sit down with David Bowden, actor, songwriter, and emerging director/producer, to talk about his journey from military service to the entertainment industry. While serving in the Marines, David discovered a passion for storytelling and working behind the scenes—an interest that grew when he became a weapons instructor for actors in California. That experience opened the door to small acting roles and ultimately turned a long-held dream into reality. For David, acting has become more than a career—it’s a creative outlet that helps fill the void many veterans feel after transitioning out of service. Through film and music, he’s found a way to process his past while building something meaningful for the future. As he continues auditioning and pursuing new opportunities—including a near miss with Tulsa King—David remains focused on carving out his place in the industry. We also feature music from Mickey Lamantia, a former law enforcement and corrections officer who is making major waves in the music world. With nine albums under his belt and support from top industry professionals, his work reflects both patriotism and personal experience. Songs highlighted in this episode include “The Toast,” “Pledge of Allegiance,” and “Locked and Loaded.” As always, we wrap with updates from The People’s Patriot Project, including upcoming events like the Ruck at Alexis Bailly Winery, continued support for Wreaths Across America, and the growth of WeP3 Radio.

Mission, Music & Meaning In this episode, we sit down with Earl Jackson of Mission Ready Men, a man whose journey led him from simply “getting through life” to embracing a greater purpose rooted in faith. Once driven by a desire to “catch the bad guys,” Earl found something deeper when God entered his life. What began as a politically focused podcast has evolved into a mission to restore strength, leadership, and respect for men—grounded in biblical principles. Earl shares his vision of men stepping back into roles of integrity, protection, and purpose, and his drive to expand that message by collaborating with like-minded leaders. We also feature powerful music from Justin Jeansonne, an artist whose work is deeply personal and rooted in lived experience. Having spent years playing clubs, Justin is now pushing toward larger stages, bringing with him a catalog of heartfelt, hard-earned songs. “Holdin’ My Baby” reflects the unimaginable loss of his child in a tragic vehicle accident, connecting that grief with the trauma of military service in a way that resonates far beyond the music. “Silver Eagle” was born on the road, written in the back of a noisy travel bus while reflecting on memories of Little Jake. “Take My Soul” is a declaration of identity and faith—standing firm in who he is and refusing to lose himself in the world. “Take My Own Road” honors his friend Jacob, lost to suicide, and carries a message of remembrance and resilience. This episode is a powerful blend of faith, purpose, loss, and healing—told through conversation and music that speaks straight to the soul. We also share exciting updates from The People’s Patriot Project, including an upcoming ruck event in partnership with Alexis Bailly Winery (targeting October 17), continued growth of WeP3 Radio, participation in Wreaths Across America, and momentum building for the Frontline Freedom Fest. Thank you to our guests for sharing their stories, their hearts, and their mission.

In this episode of We Got Your 6 @ 6, we welcomed Shane Schreck, creator of The Schreck Method, a system focused on helping people build and maintain positive habits and mental frameworks for a healthier, more productive life. Shane shared insights from his book and website, and discussed the upcoming launch of two app versions designed to help individuals consistently implement positive systems in their daily lives. The show also featured music from Matt Rawls, whose songs carry powerful stories and reflections from real-life experiences. We highlighted three of his tracks: “Devil Woman,” a song about the temptation of wanting something you know you shouldn’t; “Whiskey Kills,” which reflects on how alcohol can move from emotional comfort to physical harm—drawing from Matt’s time working in the oil fields where whiskey in coffee was sometimes used just to stay warm; and “Make War,” a song that reflects on the historical realities of westward expansion and how conflicts over land and values continue to echo in today’s world. We also shared updates on several projects from The People’s Patriot Project, including early planning for a ruck event at Alexis Bailly Vineyard targeted for October 17, which will bring together music, games, rucking, and camaraderie. Other updates include the development of a new website, shorter communication emails, continued support for Wreaths Across America, growth of WeP3 Radio—a station dedicated to music written and performed by those who have served—and the early buzz surrounding the upcoming Frontline Freedom Fest. Andrea closed the episode with an important reflection: “Who helps the help?” Those who spend their lives serving others—whether in the military, as veterans, or as first responders—often put their own wellbeing last. The reminder for all of us is that to truly be there for others, we must first take care of ourselves by prioritizing health, family time, fresh air, and moments of rest. When we take care of the helpers, everyone becomes stronger. Thank you to our guests and listeners for continuing to support the mission of lifting up those who serve our country and communities.

It’s a Heart Condition In this powerful episode, we sit down with Ryan Brimmer, whose transition out of the military didn’t follow the typical script. While many of his peers spent their downtime unwinding at the bars or ball games, Ryan was quietly building something different — sharpening his skills in sales and laying the groundwork for his future. When his time in service came to an end, Ryan made a conscious decision: success would no longer be measured solely by personal achievement. Instead, he wanted to create impact. That calling led him to launch Vet Deal Maker, a platform dedicated to helping veterans step into business ownership, understand their leverage after service, and pursue strategic acquisitions with confidence. For Ryan, supporting veterans isn’t a trend or a tactic — it’s a heart condition. We’re also joined by Stephen Cochran — artist, songwriter, performer, family man, and the driving force behind Label 22. Stephen’s life and career are rooted in service, resilience, and giving back to the veteran community. Song #1 – “Keeping On” Inspired by Sam Tate’s “Going Through Hell” — a personal fight song for pushing through tough days — Stephen wrote “Keeping On” as his own daily reminder to stay steady and strong when life gets heavy. Song #2 – “Pieces” Raw and heartfelt, “Pieces” reflects Stephen’s deep connection to the veteran community. Having supported veterans for as long as he can remember, this song carries both vulnerability and hope — the belief that healing and progress are possible. Ruck at Alexis Bailly Vineyard – Planning is underway for October 17! Expect music, games, rucking, and powerful camaraderie. A brand-new website and shorter, streamlined emails 🙂 Wreaths Across America – Thank you for honoring our heroes laid to rest in national cemeteries. WeP3 RADIO – The leading station featuring music created, written, produced, and performed by those who have served. Frontline Freedom Fest – It’s in the works… stay tuned. Thank you to Ryan and Stephen for sharing not just their knowledge and talent, but their hearts. This episode is a reminder that service doesn’t end with the uniform — sometimes, it just evolves.
