THE LEGEND OF THE OWL MOUNTAINS
There came once dark days, when a dense fog, full of unearthly wrath, hung over the valleys. The evil Fog Serpent crawled through the woods to blot out the mighty peaks and destroy human memory. We bring thee today a tale of why the Owl Mountains bear this very name.
Learn the fate of the seven royal daughters, who loved the wild crags above all else. When terror knocked upon their gates, they feared not at all. To save the realm, the brave maidens forsook their human form. Their arms transformed into mighty wings, and their eyes shone with a nocturnal radiance.
Each of the sisters straightway stood to a different battle. One defended the hard ridges, another the swift springs, whilst the youngest struck at the very dark heart of the beast, to shatter it like ice. This legend of the Owl Mountains is proof that the greatest strength slumbereth in true sacrifice. Hear how the heroic flight drove away the ruinous mist and saved the wanderers, whence the mighty peak of the Great Owl took its name, and when one may catch sight of a lone, white owl here.
