Lane is CEO of Deep Instinct and Founder of Bess Ventures and Advisory, a family office fund supporting technology firms that innovate and disrupt across multiple market sectors. He has led and built some of the world’s largest cybersecurity companies, including Palo Alto Networks and Zscaler , both of which helped lead to IPO. Lane also serves as a Trustee at Carnegie Mellon University and supports philanthropic interests across health and social issues. On December 11, 2021, Bess flew to space aboard Blue Origin New Shepard, then again On February 25, 2025.

Tom is the Founder and CEO of Impulse Space, a company specializing in in-space transportation and logistics, including last-mile satellite delivery, Mars and lunar transport, and other initiatives supporting the growth of the space economy. As one of the founding members of SpaceX, Tom played a pivotal role in building and leading the propulsion development group, responsible for designing the engines and propulsion systems for the Falcon and Starship launch vehicles, as well as the Dragon spacecraft. He spearheaded the development of the Merlin rocket engine, which powers the Falcon 9—the most reliable launch vehicle in history. Additionally, he assembled and guided the original team behind the next-generation Raptor engine, a key technology that will one day help humanity become a multi-planetary species.

    Our guest today is Erling Kagge. Erling is a Norwegian explorer, publisher, author, entrepreneur and art collector. He was the first person to complete the “Three Poles Challenge” on foot—reaching the North Pole, the South Pole, and the summit of Mount Everest. In 1990, along with Børge Ousland, Erling became the first to reach the North Pole unsupported, traveling 800 km in 58 days without external assistance. In 1993, he became the first person to walk solo and unsupported to the South Pole, covering 1,310 km in 50 days. He completed the journey without radio contact. After his expeditions, he became a bestselling author, writing 8 books on exploration, philosophy and art collecting, which have been translated into 42 languages. His latest book, After the North Pole, is available on Amazon and any other bookstores.

Staff is an American scientist and entrepreneur who has founded and co-founded multiple companies while also developing core technologies for various businesses, including Air Company, Catalytic Innovations, and Dreamers. During his academic career, Sheehan made significant contributions to catalyst development for artificial photosynthesis and carbon dioxide conversion. He pioneered a process that converts carbon dioxide into hydrocarbons, enabling its use in products such as vodka, fragrances, and sustainable aviation fuels. His groundbreaking work has earned recognition from Forbes’ “30 Under 30” and MIT Technology Review’s “Innovators Under 35,” as well as awards from the United Nations, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and NASA.

After surviving two terminal cancers, being given 14 days to live, and emerging from a year-long coma, Sean went on to climb Everest, all of the seven continent's peaks, including in Antarctica, skied to both Poles and completed the Hawaii Ironman World Championship, all of those, believe it or not, with only one lung. Sean is the founder of The Cancer Climber Association and author of "BECOMING UNSTOPABLE: Conquering Your Everest".

    Our Guest today is Lee Cronin. Lee is the Regius Professor of Chemistry at the University of Glasgow and the Founder & CEO of Chemify Limited. He is known for his approach to the digitization of chemistry and developing digital-to-chemical transformation known as Chemputing which can turn code into reactions and molecules. Lee has developed a new theory for evolution and selection called assembly theory which aims to quantify and explain how selection can occur in chemistry before biology. He has published over 450 papers, given over 500 lectures, and has written extensively on all aspects of science from the origin of life to artificial intelligence.

    Our Guest today is Karsen Kitchen. Karsen is a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill who recently made history by becoming the youngest woman to fly to space. She crossed the Kármán line, which marks the internationally recognized boundary of space, onboard Blue Origin’s New Shepard spaceship, during the NS-26 flight, on August 29, 2024. Kitchen recently founded Orbitelle to provide educational opportunities and help young women to “find their place in space.” The group encourages even women who are not pursuing STEM education, as the industry needs employees with various backgrounds.
