On board a hijacked space train, the stakes get higher as the fate of the Maelin system hangs in the balance. As the Rebel factions and Sentinel guards join battle, time is running out. Will the Doctor discover the secret of the Maelin Anomaly? This release will have a limited CD pressing of 1500 copies. Writer Karissa Hamilton-Bannis said: "I was really excited to write for the Thirteenth Doctor and Yaz, as I felt there was more to their story, and I'm so grateful for Big Finish that we have the opportunity to explore that partnership further. "My episode had a lot of inspirations. Ursula le Guin's short story The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas has haunted me since I read it, which in turn was inspired by ideas posited by Dostoyevsky on utilitarianism, and I really wanted to explore that. The Doctor tends to focus on the big picture, while Yaz is immediate and emotional, and focused on the individual."
