Today, I talk in more depth about my time on Kilimanjaro as a Type 1 Diabetic. Specifically, I go into the mindset that led me to the mountain for my honeymoon and the lessons that I’ve learned since my climb. As an endurance athlete, I discuss a unique perspective on seeing T1D as an opportunity to better oneself, as well as the crucial need for support systems in our lives, such as my wife, Katerina, is for me. My mission today is to present you with these ideas while going through the story of my adventure to the Roof of Africa.

Thanks to your support, The T1Determined Podcast is growing fast. We’re releasing more episodes and working on our documentary projects—T1Kili, T1Denali, and T1Americas—showing what’s possible with Type 1 Diabetes and endurance alongside elite T1D athletes.
To help us help more T1Ds, we’re opening up sponsor spots on the show. If you own or run a diabetes- or athletic-related business, here’s your opportunity to connect with a dedicated niche audience through personal host-read ads.
If you want to be a trusted representative of our mission to educate and empower Type 1 Diabetics—and introduce your product to a global market—consider partnering with us so we can level up together. Send an email to podcast@t1determined.net to start the conversation. We’re excited for what's ahead.
