  • The Sky Scouts: An American Civil War Tale
    2025/06/04

    Send us a text

TJ narrates his first story in this fictional tale about the Sky Scouts, three young aeronauts who braved new heights. Join Clara, Amos, and Josiah on an adventure on the Intrepid, a hot air balloon used to spy on the Confederates, during the American Civil War. This mission will require every ounce of courage the crew can muster, not to mention teamwork!

Historical Footnote: The Union Balloon Corps, led by Thaddeus Lowe, played a pivotal role in the American Civil War. These daring aeronauts used balloons to gather intelligence, helping the Union Army strategize and gain an upper hand in key battles. Their work reminds us of the courage and innovation that can arise even in the darkest of times. It’s also a reminder to remember those who once sacrificed so much for our country.
