  • 63. Overwhelm vs Personal Health
    2026/02/25

Looking at current affairs this week, Alycia breaks down some considerations in the Personal Health/Wellbeing pillar of Sustainability and how to keep an eye on invisible background erosion to your mental and physical health and how that may be present for your clients, stakeholders, and attendees too.

One way to combat this overwhelm is remembering Progress Over Perfection means aim for a smaller improvement and more consistency rather than being on the "big impact intermittently" rollercoaster that leads to guilt, frustration and needless self-criticism.

  • 62. AI - Environmental Pillar
    2026/02/18

In this episode, we evaluate the surprising environmental costs of AI. From its massive energy demands to the water used in cooling data centers, AI's impact extends far beyond the digital world. Did you know that some companies implementing AI have reversed their carbon-neutral goals, backsliding by as much as 60%?

Alycia challenges you to think differently about AI, viewing it as a resource-intensive tool rather than a must-have for every task. She offers practical tips for eco-conscious tech use, like switching to browsers such as Ecosia, which prioritize clean energy and reforestation.

  • 61. Event Travel
    2026/02/11

When considering travel for your events what are the TRAVEL factors you need to consider?

In this overview episode about Sustainability with regard to Travel I break it down into 3 considerations:

    1. Your professional travel, and the travel of your conference attendees are NOT the major problem that airlines and other pollutors want you to believe.

    2. Look out for variations in the baseline sustainability in different locations. Watch for places like Texas that will push against your sustainability goals or San Francisco who will scrutinize you more. Don't be blindsided with lack of consideration

    3. Remember that ITEMS are also traveling and you can make informed decisions based on minimizing their travel as well.
