SURRENDER IS A PROCESS | Nicky Gracious

What does it really mean to surrender your life to God?

In this episode of The Disciple Download, Kyle Bryant sits down with Christian hip-hop artist Nicky Gracious for an honest conversation about surrender, sanctification, transparency, obedience, and walking authentically with Jesus.

Nicky shares the powerful encounter with God that transformed his life and explains why surrender isn't always a one-time moment—it's a process.

Even when we think we've given God everything, the Holy Spirit can reveal areas we're still holding onto. Sometimes it's not the obvious strongholds keeping us stuck. It can be the small things we've justified, overlooked, or convinced ourselves we need.

Kyle and Nicky also talk about the danger of simply performing Christianity, why remembering what God rescued us from keeps us humble, and why transparency is essential—especially for men who feel pressure to hide their struggles.

Following Jesus means continually allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal the areas of our lives that still need to be surrendered. The question isn't simply, “Have I surrendered?” It may be, “What am I still holding onto?”
