Last week in Romans 7, Paul essentially said, “The things I want to do, I don’t do. And the things I don’t want to do…I do.” And he ends Romans 7 with these words: “What a wretched man I am!”

But this Sunday, we’re turning the page to Romans 8.

Romans 8 brings us the good news of life in Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. This week, I want to share seven life-changing truths from Romans 8 that are only possible through Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit at work in your life.

Ever feel like throwing in the towel on Christianity? I mean, honestly. Ever feel like maybe following Jesus isn’t necessarily worth it? Does it ever get any easier?

It’s a question worth asking—and one that, if you’ve never vocalized it, you’ve likely felt. Many of us enter the Christian life with enthusiasm, but endurance is hard to come by. We have the toughness, but lack the tactics to make it last long-term. We muster our spiritual strength, but don’t have a strategy to keep moving forward.
