It’s hard to believe, but Christmas is just around the corner. Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be taking intentional time to prepare our hearts for the coming of Jesus. This is the Advent season—advent meaning “coming” or “arrival.” It’s a time set apart to ready ourselves to celebrate the birth of our Savior.

For the next two weeks, we’ll be exploring the Advent themes of Hope and Peace—two gifts Jesus came to bring. But when we look at the world around us, with all its hurt and despair, it’s easy to feel our hope slipping. So how do we look to Jesus, our ultimate source of hope? Pastor Jeff Moes shares three truths about God’s unfailing hope.

This Sunday is Commitment Sunday! In this week’s message, we want to ask the question: What amazes Jesus? We know that Jesus is amazing—but what amazes Him? As we look again at the story in Mark 2, we discover that people’s faith amazes Jesus. Every time people do extraordinary things on behalf of someone else to demonstrate their faith in Him, He is amazed. We see this in the story of the paralytic, where Jesus was amazed by the faith of the friends.
