    2 Timothy 2:25-26

    25 - In meekness instructing those that opposethemselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledgingof the truth;

    26 - And that they may recover themselves outof the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

    2 Timothy 3:1-7

    1 - Thisknow also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

    2 - Formen shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud,blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

    3 - Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce,despisers of those that are good,

    4 - Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

    5 - Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

    6 - Forof this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly womenladen with sins, led away with divers lusts,

    7 - Everlearning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

    1 - And all the congregation of the children ofIsrael journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according tothe commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no waterfor the people to drink.

    2 - Wherefore the people did chide with Moses,and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chideye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?

    3 - And the people thirsted there for water;and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thouhast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattlewith thirst?

    4 - And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Whatshall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.

    5 - And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on beforethe people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewiththou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go.

    6 - Behold, I will stand before thee there uponthe rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come waterout of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of theelders of Israel.

    7 - And he called the name of the place Massah,and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because theytempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?

    Matthew 22:1-14

    1 - And Jesus answered and spake unto themagain by parables, and said,

    2 - The kingdom of heaven is like unto acertain king, which made a marriage for his son,

    3 - And sent forth his servants to call themthat were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

    4 - Again, he sent forth other servants,saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxenand my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: comeunto the marriage.

    5 - But they made light of it, and wenttheir ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

    6 - And the remnant took his servants, andentreated them spitefully, and slew them.

    7 - But when the king heard thereof, hewas wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, andburned up their city.

    8 - Then saith he to his servants, The weddingis ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

    9 - Go ye therefore into the highways, and asmany as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.

    10 - So those servants went out into thehighways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good:and the wedding was furnished with guests.

    11 - And when the king came in to see theguests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

    12 - And he saith unto him, Friend, how camestthou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

    13 - Then said the king to the servants, Bindhim hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness;there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

    14 - For many are called, but few arechosen.
